I would have thought it was much more likely to be Laura if they were thinking of doing that !

I think it's a good sign that they are still following each other

Not so much Daisy but why do they insist on putting Louise in such huge flowing and unflattering dresses that are far too big for her slim figure???
Baffling.

Re any potential Gio future strictly romance - If he is now being touted as single they are going to try and attach him with any female going for the press and attention unfortunately The media are going to be on overdrive.

Well having had a good look at all the female celeb dresses I really think the costume department should be sacked right now !

They all look so cheap and nasty - poor Louise is only in her early 40s and they have her in a matronly looking number.
Laura's dress would have been OK but they have finished it off with silver lampshade braid,

They have done a much better job on the pro's dresses.

as far as I know, of course lots of men post on the main forum but you are pioneers here

have posted on the Matthew C. appreciation thread (for five years), Ramps, Louis Smith, Jimi Mistry, Thom Evans and Jay (for three weeks)

I like the sound of that, but the hamper would have to be enormous to fit us all in

We always thought they would be, but him now being 'single' will make it worse.

Ruby we'll have a thread Christmas party and we'll invite Gio to attend but only if he dresses up as a sexy Santa Claus 😊 And we'll decorate with mistletoe!

Looks like the result of the sort of random quick scrabble through the props basket that you'd get at the village panto. Nothing ever fits. Absolutely nothing flatters. How you can make so many good looking men and women look so lumpy and shapeless is a mystery. Even Daisy's "sexy" outfit just looks naff and tacky. The GBBO aprons have more style.

That is the second time today we have agreed

Actually Naga looks one of the best but when you look at her dress in detail it looks cheap.

I am not commenting on her 'pins' - tut !

Bloody hell

Are we going to be checking the spoiler thread tomorrow night to see who Gio gets?
My choice would be Naga, Anastacia or Louise.”

Lordy, he looks hot!

Yes, I will be checking out the spoiler thread on the main board I'm a total spoiler whore and won't be able to resist!!

Kathy - you asked where we can find out spoilers - there is a thread on the main board and someone will post there I guess very late tomorrow (the launch show doesn't finish until approx 10 pm) or early the next morning. Although I will definitely find out who it is - i think we should be cautious and post any discussion of the confirmed pairings in spoiler quotes so it's hidden, as not everyone will want to know.

Where is this lozzer? do you mean on the BBCStrictly instagram? I can't find it!

I agree - poor Louise! They've made her look much older than she is. Yes, the pros look great.

Re the earlier discussion - I personally will be supporting Gio and probably voting for him and his partner. His continued success both in Strictly and outside it is affected by his profile and so it's great if he gets as far in the competition as possible. I want him to have a high profile in the programme and to be booked again! I want him to be popular and to get lots of work offers. This was particularly the case when () he was with Georgia as it was vital to the sustainability of his staying in the country. But it's still my view now. He's already going to have a struggle if he doesn't have Jo as a partner any more next year as although he's danced with Korina before, she's not connected to Strictly and so doesn't have the profile or "bookability" and I can't see him pairing up with any of the other female pros as they are either already coupled up or live elsewhere during the off season. So I want him to have the "bookability" himself - and I want him to do well. Side note - I wonder if this was a factor in it all. If he doesn't have a partner next year, I wonder if he was thinking of a spell back in Italy during the off season, and it didn't go down too well. Who knows.

It makes me so sad to think of Georgia's words about him being back this year and her being miserable at home. We've laughed about that in the past - saying, little did she know, it would be their home and he'd be coming home to her. But it's too too poignant now. So so sad.

Interesting - off to nosey as to who! I was shocked when I heard she was with Darius!

I can't see them pairing her with Gio - she's just too tall. I think she'll get Aljaz.

He might get Laura though - I wouldn't put it past them. Maybe she can be the "anti-Strictly curse" and actually help bring the 2 of them back together - who knows! Probably not.

Much as I'd like him to be missing Georgia, I'm glad to see him smiling on the red carpet - it's his job and he's got to be professional. And I'm sure he is happy in the midst of all that excitement! It would be highly inappropriate for him to blub his way down the red carpet!

EDIT - off to look at all the red carpet photos to see the full costume horrors

That is good thing then so lets hope she is not in the running for the curse of Strictly stories - my daughter knows Darius and says he is really very nice so that is sad !

It must be absolutely torture for her. Bad enough to have to see your boyfriend just a few days after breaking up, but to see him in the same setting as you met him, with all the memories you had there almost a year to the day. Amongst all the other people you shared memories with too, let alone people you hosted and cooked for too. Thats why i don't think she should be watching it at all. Her behaviour to me shows shes clearly not coping with it all - from pics of being dolled up for going out - to a broken heart the next day, then multiple pics of her 'having fun' but crying emojis alongside it, liking quotes about her not being lost but just trying to find her way....

....and now she seems to be so involved in watching it all. Am I the only one that thinks she shouldn't be doing this? If I was a friend I'd be advising her not to, it can't be anything but upsetting for her to say the least :/

Interesting points you make there - and yes the lack of Jo next year could well have added to the stress about planning their lives together for GG.

I have always thought that work commitments, and perhaps both of them booking things without considering the plans of the other one was possibly the the root cause of the break up.

Naturally I want everything to go well for Gio - it is just right now I am a bit cross with him, not because GG have split up but because of the way he appears to have wiped her out of his life.
Logically I can quite see he has acted out of hurt and pride - and to be brutally honest I wouldn't be at all surprised if he isn't actually more devastated than she is because as he told us he is an Italian and he can't be without passion - so deleting someone who has walked away makes sense.

They are keeping the lines of communication open so I am still not without hope that they will stop being stubborn and sort themselves out.

Agree she shouldn't and hopefully once her stage roles start she won't. Sadly though Strictly is something that its difficult to avoid if you turn on a TV or radio it can be on. For her sake I would hope that Giovanni does not get a contender and is out quickly. If you asked her though she probably would still say Strictly changed her life. I think she needs to break from the show and look to the future.
