Hi Islapops - I don't think she will want to do that publicly, not just yet anyway. Certain media outlets will only pick up on it and make something out of it. The fact that she's liking some Strictly stuff is the right balance for now. Some troll in the DF is now saying that their split is fake, they can't bloody win, can they?

With both Jo and Janette having 10am announcements and Jo saying she won't have a day off until July 2017. Could it possibly be a Aljaz and Janette and Gio and Jo tour?

I think its unlikely she would Islapops, they've just split up. As amicable and undramatic and unspecific as they want to make it appear on a public announcement (for obvious reasons) there is going to be a lot of hurt, especially as theres every chance that it wasn't mutual and one of them didn't want the relationship to end. If we think of them as a normal couple, there are few I'd know who would like their boyfriends pics only days after having broke up with them to be honest.

I think it was very wishful thinking on my part! Think you've hit the nail on the head here. To me it's becoming more and more likely that it wasn't mutual and one had no option other than to accept it. 😓

Even if they were talking to each other and discussing things I don't think she would like his pictures as people would pick up on it and I think they would want to keep it quiet.

She's just tweeted first day of rehearsals today and she is very nervous - surely he must feel something when he sees that after knowing all the effort she has put in and him too if he has been helping. You think he would wish her luck even if only in a private message.

You would think so, and he might well do it privately - as you said in your post above they would want to keep any interaction private probably.

As others have said before it's pretty lousy timing for a split given that she is just about to embark on her first stage role - but from her tweet this morning it looks like she's approaching it with her customary determination and enthusiasm. She's a strong character, and (as Georgia would say) will smash it!

He's already advertised for Donahays next year they advertise it as a strictly weekend so surely he will have to dance with one of the pros from the show and not just anybody but other than that oskana or oti (hope I have got the name right) they are all with their partners I think.

Good for Jo - I'm sure she'll be fab in that role. I might book up to see it in Wimbledon where it starts. It does mean Jo won't be doing the Strictly tour though since the Millie tour starts in January. There are a couple of breaks in the schedule so hopefully she will be able to have a little holiday with her b/f. Not sure about her wig in the picture - doesn't really suit her. So it looks like Gio has lost his dance partner for the time being which is a real shame since I thought they were a lovely partnership.

As for Janette & Aljaz, I'm surprised they're doing a ballroom based tour since Aljaz has said in the past that he regrets that the difference in their heights means that they can't do proper ballroom dances together (or words to that effect). However, good luck to them and I hope it goes well. I wonder if they will have any guest stars - maybe Gio will join them?

Yes, I wondered that the other day. I wonder if plans (or lack thereof) for next year were an issue in the break up. Maybe he wanted to go back to Italy before next Strictly. Who knows.

I'm definitely going to look tonight at who the pairings are - I have zero will power! I have a feeling he might get Laura - I just don't think the producers will be able to resist it. I bet she doesn't want to be paired with him as I doubt she'd relish her Strictly story being defined from the outset by their break up. And seeing as she's friendly with Georgia, I bet she wouldn't relish being stuck in the middle either. I wasn't bothered whether she was his partner when he and Georgia were together as I was relaxed about them weathering any media storm, but now, I think it would be less than ideal! And whilst I'm sure they'd have no intention of any romance, god knows whether that would change after 4 months together. Just trying to brace myself ahead of tonight's launch show!

I think Gio will be fine, especially as he's already been booked up well in advance for events without Jo. Trent and Gordana do lots of events, including the P&O Cruise, based on just one season in Strictly for him.

It is not a long tour for Jo it will be finished April/May so not long without a partner after the Strictly Tour finishes - talking to Paul Donahey think Gio is going to do what he has done at other venues and do a lecture and teach rather than demonstrate at this stage - Oti is married to her dance partner and okasana is married too - if he dances with anyone it will be one of the ex BTF girls like Jasmine Tackas or Giulia Dotta who he has danced with before

Delighted for Jo that her career is really taking off. At this rate she may not be available for Strictly going forward if these offers keep rolling in. Hope that the fact she can't do the tour won't mean she doesn't get a good celeb this year though. Have a feeling she might get Ed Balls and not Will Young as most seem to hope for.

Just a thought but maybe Gio also has as yet unannounced plans for post Strictly that might mean him being abroad or touring which might have contributed to the split.

On another note from what I saw of the costumes last night I thought that with the exception of Laura's which was ok they were mostly awful for the girls ... especially Louise's. Hope she's not headed down Kellie's path in the wardrobe dept.

I also think he will disappear from England after strictly' maybe do the tour & come back for different things like donaheys, but think now he will move his base could even be USA. Probably no reason for him to be here permanently. Don't think he's concerned about new challenges wherever they are!! Sob! Sob!
