I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't still in touch to some degree - even if just to arrange practicalities. They may even meet up this weekend to sort out the arrangements for the flat etc. But I agree that generally, it's not going to be good for them to be in constant contact. I agree also that they can't just slip into being friends instantly (if at all). And if, as you say, one of them wants it to continue, it's a road to misery. I suspect that is the case. I think the reason we were all speculating that it might have been a row that blew up is because they seemed (yes, social media, I know!) so happy and in love even a week before, so it's hard to reconcile. But it's never that simple. I don't think they just had a row, though god knows what did happen. Even if it was prompted by him - I bet he still feels awful too.

I feel for Laura too - what a shower of sh*t she's just been thrown into!! Excuse my language. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't super awkward to start with. This is all very awkward - I see Laura retweeted Georgia's tweet about the girls night out that night. She is much more sophisticated than Georgia and worldly wise - not about to carried away I wouldn't think,

I do think it will be very awkward to start with but like you said I do hope it passes. I woke up super early this morning and relooked at the pairings, like you say Laura will be as tall as Gio in heels and there's nearly a foot between Brendan and Anastacia, I'm sure they were switched. It's really annoying they forsake what could be really good dancing partnerships just for press publicity. What's the betting they have a load of Latin dances in the first few weeks? 🙄

Yes, as you say, and as Vic's mum has just said on the main spoiler thread too - not only is it a cheap shot pairing them together - but if they did switch her and Anastacia, it has ruined 2 potential good pairings. I think he and Anastacia would have been a hoot - the producers would have run with the storyline of him being a super fan! And I think Laura and Brendan would have done well. BUT - it is what it is!

Yeah, I agree - i don't think Gio would be her type either. Hopefully they can get over any feelings of awkwardness and have a fun partnership -we shall see!
