We can all speculate. I have my opinions too which I've had for a while and out of respect to this thread and the posters I had left as Its not really helpful to share negative opinions as it can upset people and be unfair (can't help coming back even after saying my goodbyes yesterday -sorry).

But what I will say is it is beyond ridiculous in my opinion if you consider how Georgia felt about the relationshiip, how she clearly viewed it as long term, the sacrafices and accomodating she made for it - from moving home, to putting up with on-line abuse iniitally over it, to having to spend many weekends home alone (always letting Gio know how she missed him when she was away) learning Italian, cooking, cooking and hosting Gios friends and producers, immersing herself completely in Gios life and friendships, promoting Gios pics when he joined select, being welcoming to Jo his dance partner to the point of having her come along to the majority of their date nights, constantly liking GG stuff and romantic/complimentary stuff about Gio I don't see any evidence to tell me she was anything but in love with him, wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with him and was prepared to accomodate and tolerate inconveniences in order to achieve this. She knew all about Gios dancing career, as well as her BAT contract and likelihood of more to come when they started out. After all this, shed suddenly put an end to it because of a work contract or because of money? Sorry, but to me that just doesn't make sense in terms of how shes been and what shes done throughout the relationship, let alone how she has behaved since the split.

I know theres nothing worse than someone who says they're constantly leaving and then comes back again, so apologies for that, it is a bit out of order But I just can't understand this notion that shes suddenly ended it because of a contract. As I've said a few days ago, I hope they are able to detach enough from each other to give themeselves time to get over it properly and move on as they need that. I think we're all going to have our opinions on things, as I do myself, believe me, but perhaps any negative ones are best left unsaid for the sake of the thread :/ And hopefully somoene like star can bring back a sparkle to again soon???

Well I've been out to my Pilates class and had a chance to think about what I wrote this morning and yes, maybe I was a bit unfair to Gio and I'm sorry if I upset anyone. I certainly don't think he's had a personality transplant but then again it is possible to have 2 sides to your character - my own father was a case in point and, as Brian says, we don't know what Gio is really like. I have just formed a certain perception based on his social media and seeing him at the Chilli Fiesta. However what I think is probably all totally wrong so I shall reserve judgement on the whole situation and accept that I have no idea what either of them are are really like, that what went on is none of my business and that there may have been many factors involved in the break up - which I am still baffled by BTW!

I really hope that they can both throw themselves into their work now and not lash out at each other. To do so would certainly lose Georgia her Strictly friends.

I should make it clear that I haven't and won't be sending him or Georgia any rude tweets and I don't agree with anyone doing so.

And I agree - all those reasons there are evidence enough for me that the relationship would not have been ended on the grounds of work!

Kind of you to say Brian, as always, but it is bloody annoying having someone say goodbye and then coming back on to rant. So I won't do it again But I agree, the work thing makes no sense to me given what we've seen about the effort and accomodating she has put into the relationship from all aspects which to me only told me how committed she was to it and had envisaged it to be long-term. You know what's even more stupid about the whole blonde wig thing - that they have all the flyers and posters with her dark hair. Understandably anyone going to see the play will be just baffled as to why she randomly has blonde hair. And yes, I know that they say that it's because Holly is blonde in the book, blah blah blah, but in my opinion it's just ridiculous! And if you are so keen to disassociate yourselves from the film, producers, then why dress her up like Audrey Hepburn in said posters?! Anyway, hopefully this is one opinion today that everyone agrees about! Or maybe not!

It's not annoying, as I say I've loved having you back on.
And I agree with what you say - she has put such a great effort into the relationship that it makes no sense at all to me why this would then change on the basis of a work job. I'm certain she envisaged it being a long term thing too, and considering she was still describing him as her favourite human being two days before the split - I think she still thought that right until the end.

Totally agree with this Wicks. No matter how upbeat and happy they may seem in SCD & BAT it won't be a true reflection of what's going on in their hearts. This is their Bread & butter. They have to just get on with it whilst performing. Yes I'm sure there's many tears we don't see. You don't go from being that loved up to what have now without having to deal with the heartache too. I think if anything performing will help to take them away from it all for that moment which explains how they manage to get through the performance.

I understand your views on the situation but as with all of us we are only writing what we think' we have always done this even when they were together ie: Georgia in Manchester wonder what Gio is doing etc! We have viewed every photo & commented on their happiness' how do we know? All conjecture I know but her family apart from grandma are all still friends with him on facebook' would they be if he had instigated it' I don't know?? More to the point though what is the point of the thread if we can't write different views' it's what it is all about so that a threader without being nasty & in a friendly way can disagree or agree whatever!
At the end of the day silly' I know but we are getting bit niggly with each because we are hurting over this otherwise sadly we wouldn't be here! I haven't been as upset as this over anything other than my personal life. It's probably time now for all of us to move on and that will probably happen bit by bit as we accept (sob) the situation!

I have always loved Dennis Skinner although I do think he is going a bit senile recently - I have actually met him - well I was introduced to him and we shook hands.

That is why I came in here this morning deciding that I just have to accept the split - we have all gone round in circles discussing who/why/when - we all come out with different conclusions but actually no one knows any details except GG and they most likely would give two very different accounts of what happened themselves.

So I am trying to appreciate them both as far as I am able - andI will be so sad if our lovely thread goes under in this process.

I have been following you all for the past few days,I still think it's such a shame things have ended for GG but as you have all said we don't know what's happened but I just hope that at some point they can be friends but I have the feeling that won't happen.They went through so much together and seemed so happy it would be a shame but when there is a split things often get nasty and someone always feels hurt. I am not looking forward to Strictly and seeing Gio with a new partner and I never was even before they split up. Think it's going to be strange.

I just hope everyone on here keeps posting as it's such a happy place and people should be allowed to express their feelings whether everyone agrees with them or not, which is usually what happens anyway. Hugs to everyone.
