It may sound unkind but they don't owe their previous employee Georgia anything and unless Giovanni has directly told them to not match him with x, y or z, which I doubt he would or could, then who they choose is up to them.

As it happens I actually don't think it would be in Giovannis best interests to go down that road this year, as leaving aside Georgia, if he does find his next relationship on the show he risks getting a label like Kristina had (and still has).

However, at the same time I don't see why he should be 'protected' and only partnered with safer older women or worse, duffers until it's deemed respectable in some weird way to move on. I dunno JMO but if Giovannis going to move on, he's going to do so and sooner or later and Georgia will get to hear about it (sooner given the proliferation of gossip and social media these days) . It could be with Laura, but as I said before given how seriously he takes his career I would imagine that he'd do his best to avoid that.

That said both he and Georgia are very attractive young people so I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that either are dating someone soon.”

I honestly don't care about the relationships. GG had a lot of chemistry. There was something that just worked between them and it was fun to watch, and their life together was probably good for them while it lasted, but I can never persuade myself to get invested in people's lives. It's a missing bit of my brain...

More fed up that Gio doesn't get to wail-sing to Anastacia every week in training. Would. Have. Been. My. Highlight of SCD 2016.

Oh I do like Anastacia, and I don't doubt it would be fun to see them work together, don't get me wrong, I just think that the reaction to the Laura thing is a tad OTT, that's all.

Incidentally Brenda has a weird way of getting the girl that I would have liked to see with someone else and then royally almost willingly ruining his chances with her by being as ungallant as possible, possibly (I like to speculate unkindly

) because he knows that he wasn't 'her first choice dammit!!!'.

Last year I watched the introducing the celebs in the traing room VT I could tell that apart from GG the other obvious 'Oooh I hope I get you' was from Kirsty to Gleb and vice versa.

Now, I must stress I DO NOT think that Gleb would go there, that way

. Oh no, Madam Glebs rules are too rigid for that nowadays, but theirs would certainly been a flirty, fun partnership. Anyway that was kyboshed by the powers that be and Brenda sulked and poor Kirstys confidence and chances never recovered. Not that I think she'd have got anywhere near the final, but I do think she'd have done much better with another partner.

So lets hope for better with Anastacia.

Pretzel - I think it will go one of 2 ways with Brendan and Anastacia - it could be totally awesome - they may just "get" each other - or it could be Lulu mark 2

My point is just that I don't think it was the plan and I'd have preferred it the other way around

Bendy - just seen the latest tweets from Aliona - I wonder if her and Gio could pair up for a few engagements next year whilst Jo is otherwise engaged? I know that the general consensus - including in your professional opinion - is that they aren't a natural pairing - but who knows! Needs must. I think he'd be up for it - but not necessarily her - I have no idea actually if she's just retired from Strictly or whether she's retired generally. They were pro partners on the last tour weren't they.

I don't know, I only found out a couple of weeks ago. I'm a bit like you I think, rubbish at keeping up with things and once Strictly ends I lose interest in the contestants.

Social media is like kryptonite to me- Well, I lie.. I'm on twitter which I quite like now and then but all the instagram, FB and other stuff I hardly bother with I only use it to mooch at the odd thing to laugh at or man to drool over. I'm a fickle b*tch like that.

Anyway, I suspect knowing Gleb that the offer was better (it was bound to be much, much higher than Strictly) and maybe also something to do with his family being able to join him in the states? Can't blame him really. I suspect, given the choice Strictly would have wanted to keep him so it must have been his call. But I'll miss him.

Edit-yeah sorry he's on next series of the US Strictly DWTS, where he was previously, but (I think) been given a place higher up the rankings where he actually gets a reasonable partner. Last few stints I think he was in the chorus line as it were. They've got a weird kind of pecking order in that show, but his stint in the UK may have raised his bank-ability somewhat. Apols for going OT.

We all said it before tonight's show but after it, it was glaringly obvious!!
Gio danced with Anastacia throughout the group dance and Laura with Brendan. In the little interviews at the end it is clear Laura is too tall for Gio and Anastacia is bit too small for Brendan.

Absolutely disgusted with the BBC!! Not only are they not giving one seconds thought to poor Georgia but they are throwing Laura under the bus in the process!!
