Morning Everyone. I have just seen the show. I too am amazed about the very obvious switch between Brendan and Giovanni's prospective partners. The BBC are nudging this specific part of the show towards Reality TV. Brendan will be fine with Anastasia I am sure. However the BBC have put the 'drama' firmly in Laura and Giovanni's court and I am sure they were not expecting it. Giovanni may well feel really sad that his Strictly Producers have done this - I am sure he trusted them and felt his destiny was fun with Anastasia. Now potentially : He can either be their Italian Stallion puppet and oblige or get on with teaching Laura to dance and showcase his choreography in a more mature way - similar to Alijaz. I think all the other pairings will contribute to a good dance show. Hope Giovanni sticks to Great Dancing too.

Georgia is a lovely and clever girl. Wonder if she knew that even if the BBC were telling Giovanni he would get Anastasia (he danced with Anastasia mostly in Group dance) She may have known they would not go with that pairing based on her previous experience.
Think that Giovanni trusted the BBC 'family' machine a little bit too much. Set in stone now, we will have to see how it goes. Fingers Crossed. Alicia🤔💃

I wonder if the MF insider will emerge with any info on what went on, but agree it did seem obvious. Much as I would have liked Anastacia too, it is what it is.

They tried to shoehorn Giovanni into the Italian Stallion role last year and he managed to shake it off with a more tongue in cheek approach. Gio is a good teacher and there is the potential for a fun and hardworking partnership here, if they can manage to set aside the media hype. I'm not convinced she would have been a good fit for Brendan, other than heightwise. Aljaz and Daisy are similarly matched in height terms, as he was with Abbey, it's not always a problem. As you say, fingers crossed.

Daisy That green powder was a real bugger to get off wasn't it Ruby. We had to strip and then scrub everywhere and I mean everywhere. Gio that is not Ruby and I. Yes of course you can .The reason I thought Georgia had ended it was because Gio did what Georgia did and that was delete lots of stuff. Trying to erase memories ..If only it was that easy.

I was also one of those who thought it odd that she would work for just 3 weeks over Christmas ,what they had planned to do I have no idea at first she seemed to just get on with it the last photograph her with her head on Gio shoulder she looked happy to me he had no expression on his face at all. I think reality has caught up with both of them now.

In short I now am not sure who caused the split just know neither of them seem very happy and why would they what they had was something very special.
