Going back to the cynical side of an older lady, it's only because I'm upset & cross with them both as I would be if it was my daughters & son in laws!
Regarding the relationship I was surprised that they didn't visit Italy at some stage other than Christmas 2015. Although the families did meet at the SCD studios the only time I remember Gio visiting Geo family was the christening (Lion King) but they came to London for that! So I'm not really sure that it was all as perfect as we think!!
At the beginning of the breakup I mentioned that it could be a money issue' I'm sure we've all had arguements about that, now I've noticed someone else has mentioned that
too!!!
In the scheme of things they were really only living together for a short time so something must have reared its head quite soon in the relationship I think!
Like Star I want them back together NOW!!! But don't think that's gonna happen!
I still think Georgia laid her ambitions on the table for the breakup! Every now & again we get a snippet about Hollywood etc. I think she is quietly & respectfully veraciously ambitious! That's not a criticism I think in the business she's in you have to be very single minded!!
It may have been difficult for Gio a proud man to accept this!
On the other hand Gio did buy her two beautiful rings - but always insisted they were not engagement rings why?? I know they were commitment rings - but Gino de Campo who is also Italian was a bit puzzled by the rings if I remember rightly- as much to say is Gio also wearing a commitment ring which he wasn't!!!
Ahh well I think this is my final stab at trying to work it all out and getting nowhere!
May they both be blessed with whatever they do in the future - I will be watching but not so closely if I can help it!!

Wonder if it's going to be a VT with something about "trust" . Wasn't there soemthing in the First Steps VT when Laura was trying to get used to trusting Gio not to drop her when she leant back? Gio and Laura would both have to trust the O2 rope folk not to drop or dangl;e them.

The only thing I would disagree with in the order this implies is that the judges would possibly keep Tameka and Anastacia in over better dancers if they hit a dance off early on.

So sadly I don't think Gio will get to Blackpool this year - he will be furious !

Does anyone have a clue who the the extra female pro was in the 'What the World Needs Now' dance at the beginning of Saturday night's peogramme ?

All nine male pro's were dancing and all had partners, so another female appeared from somewhere.

I agree with most of those but the thing is you can never really tell. Right now i don't really see them getting to Blackpool, but it depends how much she improves and how much others improve/keep consistency. I think her and Gio have got quite a bit of work to do though. I also didn't see as much chemistry between them as with most of the other couples.

I agree that those will be the first three to leave but i think i'd put Naga as the 4th person, just going off the fanbases of Tameka and Anastacia. Pretty similar odds for Ore and Greg but i think Greg might finish higher. Because it's such a tough year, really good dancers will leave earlier. My favourites Daisy and Robert are right in the middle, so i'd love them to finish higher.

It will be interesting to see if the crazy overmarking continues, i really like Anastacia but no way was that an 8. Wonder what she'll score this week?

Luba Mushtuk. She's the dancer who has been helping with the choreography. She was in the group photo with all the pros in the first week of training at the beginning of August. I think she might have danced with Brendan on Saturday - see pictures. I think someone (maybe bendy?) identified her at the time of that picture - and then I saw a photo of her on someone's instagram after the show - dressed the same as the female pros.

And to be fair, I don't think the general viewer would look at it like that at all (most people won't know that he went out with Georgia, let alone that they split up) but it must still be a pain in the ar*se!

Nothing wrong with Daisy and Alijaz partnership. All his partners love him because he seems a lovely guy and a patient teacher. Does not mean he is going to cheat on Janette does it?

He's probably has a point about Giovanni, that he did not want to settle down at this point in his life. However the stereotyping about Italians from him is pretty awful. I'm 50/50 about Gio and Laura because spending so much time together in the training rooms can mean relationships can develop, even if that is not the attention.

Yes, who knows whether something will develop - but I doubt that that would be the intention at the outset. And it's rather sexist of Gleb to suggest it would just be up to Gio! As others have said - I think Laura might like a say in it!

Of course nor was it for Georgia who did have a boyfriend when she started Strictly but fell for Giovanni anyway. Not saying it will but they are both attractive single people. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens

Karen Hardy was a bit sharp about Gio's choreography I thought as she was so kind about everyone else.

I could be very wrong Christopher but I think Laura is a lot more sophisticated and a much tougher cookie than Georgia.
I think she is much more concerned about her celebrity profile too - and aspires to something more impressive than a pro dancer for her boyfriend !
This is the girl who spent the night with Leonardo DiCaprio and has had several well known band member partners.

I just watched that bit again on iPlayer - To start with Karen demonstrated what Laura's leg and hip action should be (the only demo she did) and then said Gio should be careful as a lot of his choreography was meant for bent knees and he needs to get the balance of his choreography right - or something like that !

Yes I would agree that she is much more worldly wise then Georgia because she is older. However going back in Strictly history I was surprised that Flavia got together with the much younger Matt Diangelo, I was also surprised when both Ben Cohen and Rachel Riley dumped their married partner for their dance partner, in his case children were involved. So it would not be surprised if two single people get together. However it will be probably more likely that Gio will turn up to an event in the near future with a model on his arm.
