Looking at that pic I'm wondering if Melvin and Janette will still be around next week. I like Melvin but he didn't look too impressive in training and I don't think he's got much of a fan base to carry him through. If they are voted out then Janette's going to have lots of time to go shopping with Georgia on her week off!

I suppose he will have people who like him and listen to his radio show but I suppose it depends if they watch strictly. I can't imagine a lot of Laura's fanbase watching strictly whereas people like tameka and judge rinder probably have a huge amount of people who watch their programmes and also tune into strictly.

I think it's really hard to say who will be in the bottom two this week. From a dancing point of view only I think it should be Melvin and either ed, naga or Lesley but none are really bad so I think it will come down to popularity.

I presume that Laura and Gio are on ITT tomorrow then. To be honest I haven't bothered watching it yet this year. If I were on Strictly it would really pee me off to break off from training and schlep to the tv studios for a 4 minute interview that is mainly Zoe gabbering away and a 'comedy' 's what we've noticed' in training clip.

Yes, I'm not keen on the height thing but I think it's just what we like to look at. The (taller) man leading his little lady.
The height difference won't make it difficult for them but it will for the likes of Anton and Lesley, Claudia and AJ and Brendan and Anastacia.

I hope there is no truth in that story as actually in my opinion it would reflect badly on Georgia. But that's just my view!

The Sun story is definitely worth a read. It feels as if it has come from 'Team Georgia' from the slant taken in the article. It is I think fair to say that Laura has gone out of her way NOT to post pictures with Gio - other than in the training room which is very much part of the 'day job' of strictly. It is frankly a bit bizarre to phone the work colleague - which is what Laura is - of your ex-boyfriend and try to 'dictate terms' for how they do their job - a necessary part of that job is presenting their dance partnership in a positive and friendly light on social media. Just as Georgia and Gio did last year.

It is also probably fair to say that Georgia has been very active on social media in posting pictures of nights out with Alijaz, Janette etc. And I think she now follows on social media every single new celebrity and all the new pros? Keeping up last year's friendships quietly in private is one thing, but I do wonder sometimes if there is an element of point scoring in the activity on social media.

If 'Team Georgia' think that this sort of article, which keeps Georgia's name in the headlines linked to the biggest show on BBC TV, is actually good for Georgia's career, in my opinion they are quite mistaken. She has great opportunities as an actress and should focus on her career in the press, not her, sadly, now ex-relationships. So, why not get her 'Team' to post some cheerful gossip about Breakfast at Tiffany's and get that in the Sun? MUCH better for ticket sales. Surely there MUST be a funny story about that lovely cat?

I thought a lot of people on here were advising Georgia to remove herself from Strictly and Gio ... it sometimes seems she can't do right for doing wrong - I think she is coping very well and I admire her enormously.

In the very unlikely event that she phoned Laura and 'confronted her over the pictures of her and Giovanni' - I shouldn't think there are many women who wouldn't empathise with Georgia and understand how painful it must be to see someone else in the place you occupied last year - let alone in the arms of a man you lived with for eight months.

Oh, I totally agree with that! Re the bit in bold - I think it would be heartbreaking to see pictures of him - especially with his new dance partner, and especially in the early weeks of splitting up. I just meant that I hope she didn't ring up asking Laura not to post pictures of him (which, as you say, it's The Sun, so they are probably talking crap). I still think she should remove herself from Strictly (to a degree - I'm not suggesting she cut friends off or anything) - but I don't think that that is down to Laura to not post pictures of Gio on her twitter etc. That's all I meant.

I agree - Georgia has behaved fantastically since the break up - I have nothing but respect for how she's handled it. Georgia has been a hell of a lot more stoic than I would have been in the circumstances - I would have been a mess! I just don't think it's down to Laura to "temper" her Strictly experience (and it's not as if she's posted anything inappropriate anyway).

EDIT - she managed to quietly unfollow Laura and Gio a few weeks ago - but annoyingly, it was only when someone mentioned it on twitter that the press picked up on it and made a fuss.
