Completely agree Humpty - when you think of all the partnerships that have ever been on strictly, it's a small amount that have ever got together romantically (well the ones we know about anyway - I'm sure there's a few more )

I really don't see anything happening between Gio and Laura but if it did it would hurt Georgia a lot in the short term but in the long term she'd realise it just wasn't meant to be.

I don't know if anything will happen but I get the impression that if that is what Laura wanted she wouldn't bother about Georgia. A lot of the couples either married or in relationships always seem to make sure they are not sat close together, I don't know if on purpose. Last night naga and pasha when first sat down were really close but then you will see they moved so that you could nearly have fitted another person between them. To me if I was friends with someone and I was put in a situation like they have yes I would make sure I enjoyed myself but she is quite flirty and yes Georgia was the same last year and look what happened there.

I think it's a road to nowhere to be on the alert for signs, to be honest. They probably won't get together, but it's possible, but either way, he's going to be pictured with someone soon enough (I'm not suggesting he'll leap into another serious relationship as I don't think he will) and I think it's a road to misery to be looking for signs etc

Sandy - I agree with you. It was a nice interview and I thought they were both getting across a warm and friendly working relationship. I thought some of the early training clips looked a bit awkward but that seems to have passed now. Gio was much, much better on the sofa than last year when he did struggle (IMHO) at times with Zoe's incredibly fast banter. He has a good rapport with Zoe and that definitely helps them both on ITT. I noticed that Danny said that he was training 8-10 hours a day with Oti - I hope that Gio is getting the same number of training hours as the competition this year is really, really strong. There is going to be a BIG difference between the celebs that can commit to lots of training and those juggling a day job - might be a problem for Tameka with EE filming.

To be honest it won't particularly bother me if they get someone else it is over between them but what I am saying if you are playing a friend card like Laura seems to be by sending the tweet to geo then don't flirt because it is not a friendly thing to do.

I agree NDD - their Strictly journey shouldn't be about Georgia - and i'd think that irrespective of whether her and Gio were together.

I really think that the Sun etc are over egging it by saying that Laura and Georgia are close friends. I suspect they have only met each other a couple of times. I think the tweets yesterday were good to diffuse the Sun story but I don't think either G or L were purporting to being any closer than they are. I could be wrong and they could know each other well. I don't think Laura would want the grief of getting together with Gio, even if he was her type, which I doubt he is.

The Sun don't know whether they are coming or going. Today they are saying that Laura has a mystery secret boyfriend. They talk about how there was speculation about a row between her and Georgia but how it's not true and that Georgia is fine as she's a 'close friend'. Yeah, speculation that YOU started! Stupid tabloids! It's such a badly written article - it says that Georgia has sought further 'insurances' (meaning 'assurances' presumably) from Laura. I know it's hardly Pulitzer level but you think they'd be able to write basic English!

I'm reserving judgement until I see what they are like after a couple of dances/results/ITT. If there are lots of head kisses and cuddles I may change my mind but currently cannot see anything but friends/dance partners. Last year Gio could hardly take his eyes off Georgia I don't get that same vibe.

I would say Laura is very very media savvy and can see her using them to ensure she is news worthy and in the public's eye. It's a tricky Strictly year lots of contenders whereas by week 3 last year Jay had won. Not Jay's fault as he and Aliona did a great jive, he seems lovely and was part of a boy band. Obviously I was and am Team GG all the way but had to be realistic against the Jay factor.

Im usually the same Lozzer and pick up on these things like I did with Georgia last year ! For me I think it was more Laura who appeared very touchy feely and giggly ( but I also Know she is a very smiley person ) it was the eye contact that really got me wondering ! I really hope I'm not right as it would be most disappointing and my respect for Gio would be completely gone ! Fingers crossed it is just platonic.
