It must be tedious for Laura that every tabloid story about her partnership includes a reference to Georgia too.
Hope the Strictly PR team are proud !.

Today has made me very sad anyway - we were all so happy the day Georgia got the keys, this is very depressing and not how we hoped it would end.”

And me Sandy. I've been sad all day - seriously, I'm so pathetic

If you two are selfish, then, I'm an utter cow as for my own personal viewing pleasure, I'd rather they went out asap

I want Gio to do well and I quite like Laura but I cannot stand him dancing with anyone else

Ooh, I don't really mean that.. I do hope Gio does well. He's an amazing dancer! I'm an emotional mess today lol

Like Jammy said we've all got everything crossed x

She might want to revert to the comforts of home, family and old established friends though, but I think it would be a shame in the long term.”

Oh hello fellow Mancunian
I think Georgia is far better off staying in London for her future career.
She's made the move there now and seems to like it. She got new friends and contacts and it would be a step back to go back home as she could end up out of the loop in the industry. I live in South Manchester which is the opposite side to where Georgia is from but i know Bury well and she could end up cut off if she returns. She's got everything on her doorstep in London. I wonder where shell live. I hate the thought of her being on her own. Having said that I really hope she stays single for a while.

No Thom Evans I see so the DM can't write more twaddle about him & Georgia.

You're not pathetic Star you're just saying what many of us feel. I'm just not as vocal about it that's all. When I read what you all say and express how you feel I completely empathise. Like others have already said on here, I've never been like this about anyone else. It's understandable because we watched their journey and they opened up their lives to us and are aware of us as Georgia has already confirmed.

I've not seen the clip of the salsa so can't comment, but don't think anyone is willing them to be bad. How odd. And if someone does happen to not like their dance or have an opinion on it - so what? Most (but not all) of the people here wish Gio to do well. But that doesn't necessarily mean our favourite couple will automatically be him and his subsequent partners. I was a big fan of Kara and Artem and always wished him well in subsequent years but I never actively supported him and his subsequent partners - eg voting or posting in their appreciation threads. I had different favourites each year. I don't have a particularly favourite this year so far (possibly Will, Daisy and Rinder so far. i liked Laura and Gio's waltz but they aren't one of my favourite pairings)

It's like you are policing a thread that doesn't actually interest you, waiting for things to pick up on!”

Very good post Wicks. Completely agree with you response.

Totally agree star! We've had all sorts of comments made towards us in the past! It's best to just say nothing and ignore any comments you may read!!

As for Aliona I like her and have not seen any facts to suggest all of the other pros didn't like her - some probably don't like her and others probably do it's just life!! so it's best to not say anymore on the matter!

Good point Wicks. This is a bit different to the normal appreciation thread since GG have split only recently, so of course theres going to be differing opinions with regards to Gios new partnership with Laura and if they have gone on to become our favourites too in the same way as GG did.....some will love their partnership and be backing them in exactly the same way they backed GG and want to celebrate them - as they should. Others may not be keen for a number of reasons, some may be supporting them but just not have them as their favourites and others may be just a bit more neutral about them in general. It will be varied and thats understandable. Its right for support of Gio and Laura to be shared on here as it is a Gio appreciation thread too, but I don't think its necessary for us all to feel the same way about a new partnership especially as theres a Lovanni appreciation thread up and running. From what I've seen theres been no problem sharing our different opinions on who is grabbing our attention this year and who isn't.

Yes, quite - there will be a myriad of different opinions. I just wanted to make the point that it's not like we are all sitting here en masse rubbing our hands in anticipation wanting them to be crap! I suspect they will be quite good on Saturday. I suspect they won't be my favourite couple on the night though.

Gosh Georgia and Daisy are a funny match height wise aren't they! Both lovely and smiley though. Daisy seems like such a warm person from what I've seen of her on the programme so far.

I would think that the Cadbury's event is, for Georgia and Daisy, a personal appearance for a fee, booked via Select Models. Daisy also had a fashion event beforehand and a bash for Marks and Spencers later - so 3 in one evening which is good money for her. I think Georgia was just booked for Cadbury's. Their Select agent Kirsty Reilly attended the M&S Groucho bash.

I agree they do seem friendly - but to be fair, it is a work event for both of them so a smiley face is I guess expected and they are both very professional. This is a very good reason for Georgia to stay in London if she can as this sort of work is much easier to come by than in Manchester.

Yes, I felt exhausted to see that Daisy had several events in one evening. I think I'd have to be lying in a dark room after a full day's dancing!

I know her sisters face so well from her appearance in the cha cha Its great shes managed to nurture friendships with the likes of Janette and Jake, and had nights out with Daisy and Jasons boyfriend (sorry can't remember his name!) and the the other backing dancers in that bit of time she had before she took off. It will make things so much easier for her when she returns. (I say when, as I can't see her not returning?)

Wicks I totally agree. I'm sure Gio and Laura will be really good tomorrow night especially as Gio's choreography is always spot on, but there are loads of good couples this year. My votes will go to my favourites on the night but so far I like Tameka/Gorka, Judge/Oksana and Danny/Oti. As previously mentioned I've been a bit disapointed with the Ore/Joanne partnership so far but will see how they do tomorrow.

I always look forward to seeing Gio in the pro-dances and last week's dance with Janette was fab. I don't think any of us want Gio to do badly but I find it hard to watch him dance with Laura as it makes me think of last year's journey with Georgia. It's selfish of me but I don't want him to win this year as it makes me think of what Georgia said about Gio bringing the trophy back to their home, which is pretty poignant as neither live there now

Jammy thank you for the Rex and the instagram links - I love that leather coat Georgia wears.

If Select are finding Georgia and Daisy PA spots together it is lucky they get on so well - and choose to spend their Sundays together too.

Wicks I agree. I don't think there is anyone on this thread who wishes or is hoping they are rubbish are hope they are voted out soon. Everyone just has different tastes. I have said several times I actually feel sorry for Laura as she is just trying to enjoy her strictly journey and should be let without everything else. I don't mind their partnership at all. I love to see Gio dance too.

Georgia is doing extremely well at the moment and so is Gio and I will continue to support both and wish them all the best. And I also wish Laura all the best too and hope she can enjoy her strictly journey🇮🇪
