Sandy, after reading your post I watched "Lavanni" dance a couple more times and agree with your comments. I think Bruno was way over the top with both his comments and score.

What a fantastic entertaining show we had this evening. The standard is so high.
I loved Daisy, Danny, Louise, Robert Greg and Ed in fact all of them.

No Strictly I don't see any connection other than being dance partners. They talk a lot and appear to get on and if anything I'd say Laura looks at Gio more than he looks at her.IMO
They're having a good time and I could be proved wrong but I don't see any romance.

It was an amazing show last night! I can't believe how high the standard is!

I agree that the salsa was so not worth a 9 because the people who actually got 9's across the board truly deserved them! I think we are going to have quite a few shock dance offs and good dancers are going to go home way too early!!

Looks like fun was had by all at mr footes birthday bash! 😀 The dance floor was full which is how I like it 👯

Daily Mail article with Laura. It must be really stressful being thrown into the spotlight of someone else's relationship breakdown. I didn't see any romantic behaviour from her and Gio at all last night. They do seem to get on well, which is good - but it must be a right royal pain in the arse having your every interaction with someone scrutinized.

There was loads of crap in the papers yesterday about them leaving the hotel just a few minutes apart. Err, that will be the hotel in Elstree that pretty much all the celebs and pros were staying at the night before the show and which they were all leaving at the same time to get into their waiting cars. The press are bastards

Re watching last night in peace and quiet, bliss. Yes, Laura is too tall for Gio which is a shame, she would have been better with Brendan. Not only does it make lifts look ungainly, it makes spins awkward as well, Gio is desperately trying to avoid getting an elbow to the face most of the time. Spins are a good trick for adding some flash to a routine and at the moment they aren't working for L and G.

It's also bad news for me, I'm the same height as Laura so that rules out Gio as a potential dance partner. God only knows what he'd look like stood next to me! 😢😢😢😢

Have to give Laura credit for coming out and giving it everything though a là Ed Balls, it certainly makes a difference and something that Naga should try.

Other than than L and G, I loved Claudia and AJ, Lesley and Anton (how fit is she?), Ed and Katya and Gorka (was there someone else dancing with him? I didn't notice &#128525.

Danny Mac and Louise don't interest me at all abd I'm tipping Claudia and AJ for the title now!

You're up early after a night out!!

It is ridiculous and must get very tedious. They even refer to Georgia as Laura's best friend, which is a stretch to say the least. They're also trying it with Danny Mac, saying how his fiancée has moved to London to avoid the curse and implying a closeness with Oti. Tedious, cheap journalism.

Talking of which. I've just seen a Sun headline 'Wow, GMF shares steamy kiss with pal.' They've taken her instagram photo with her friend yesterday and spun it into this. I am not even going to grace that story by clicking on it!

I really enjoyed Laura's article. It must be really difficult for her and Giovanni and she's only confirmed the fears that it is ruining her strictly experience. Giovanni looks so uncomfortable and on edge. If he looks like he is enjoying himself for a second it must be because they are sleeping together.

I honestly believe their relationship is strictly professional and genuine and everyone needs to give them a chance. I might not love them together like I loved GG but Laura does seem a nice girl and I want Giovanni to do well. Strictly is all he has and it's important to him. I wish them all the best.

Oh dear that's a rather heartfelt interview - perhaps I'm lacking in empathy because I had no idea that things would be affecting her so badly, but then again if I put myself in her shoes I'd probably feel much the same. Unfortunately with that pairing there was always going to be intense tabloid interest, so she has the producers to thank for that one. And I don't like seeing tweets sent directly to her commenting on the way she's 'interacting' with Giovanni - fair enough, have your opinions but don't go sending them to her for her to see them (just to clarify I wasn't directing that at anyone on here, I know for a fact that nobody on here does that). But yes, it's rather a shame for her the way it's worked out.

Overall I was a bit underwhelmed by the show last night really.

Though I can see that Danny and Oti were technically outstanding, I just wasn't a massive fan of the choreography.

Laura and Giovanni's routine didn't appeal to me either - just all felt rather ungainly.

Even Rinder as Fred Flintstone didn't really appeal, but after GGs Charleston last year I do have pretty high standards.

Saying that, I enjoyed Claudia and AJ's Charleston very much and I also enjoyed Daisy and Aljaz's Quickstep and of course Ed and Katya's Samba!

Was that really a week 3 show? The dancing is so good for so early on. I can't say I don't enjoy it, but it does put pressure on next years celebs a bit! Everyone is getting so good.

So many stand-outs for me:

Not warming to Danny so far and warming to Ore and Joanne even less - so for both of them to have me enjoying their dance so much means they did a fabulous job!! Loved both of their routines. Loved AJ and Claudias Charleston too. Perhaps there wasn't enough Salsa in Wills dance for Len, but I really think its unfair to give them that theme, to that music, get a bollywood coach in and then want a proper salsa all the way through. Its a bit much to ask. I loved their routine too. Also among my favourites last night were Greg and Natalie - this pair are growing on me. I know hes not got great amounts of natural dance ability but is really working hard to get it - and I love their partnership.

A little bit underwhelmed with Louise, but I think that was more to do with my high expectations ( I was thinking more of the song, and forgetting it was a cha cha, which isn't the easiest dance to wow people with). I still really like Kevin and Louise although I know most are finding them a bit meh!...my 5 year old told me they're so boring compared to Kevin and Kellie Daisy and Aljaz always do a good job. I like them, but they haven't really blown me away as yet, though I always enjoy their routines and really good for week 3.

A bit disappointed with Rinder and Oksana - preferred their previous dances and I think it paled in comparison to AJ and Claudias. Tameka and Gorka didn't do much for me either (although Gorka looked hot in the uniform) Tango just wasn't her dance. I agree with the others about Laura and Giovannis salsa - I think her height with those lifts is what added to the awkwardness of it. Lauras definitely better at ballroom than latin. Having said that, I think its only being seen as not as good because so many are just so good this year - it was still a very good effort for week 3!

Ed did really well again - I didn't enjoy it as much as most seem to have (on the main forum) but a great effort all the same. Katya is really good!

Edit: had to think about the ones I'd missed out - Naga, Anastasia and Lesley! None of them really made an impression.

Great show though! Did you all enjoy it?

Just catching up on the thread - I see I'm not the only one who had an urge to be arrested last night!! Just quoting a few of the many reactions -

It showed off Gio a little more than Laura, a bit like the jive last year. ”

I'm pretty sure that Gio didn't choreograph the salsa. The pros tend to only do the main 10 ballroom and latin dances (plus the AS) - and get help with charleston, argentine tango and salsa. It looks like it was Jenny Thomas who choreographed the salsa. She did GG's charleston too. She's posted a picture of her and Laura referring to them being one of the couples she worked with this week.

Bit in bold - that's small children for you! Though me and my hangover are going to skulk back off to bed soon as one of them is out doing sport and the other is safely parked in front of a film!

Yes, it is ridiculous and tedious. One of the articles yesterday even made a big deal about how the left the hotel from different entrances - saying that according to reports Gio left the hotel by a back entrance - whilst showing a picture of him leaving from the same entrance as everyone else. Mindless stuff.

Yes, it must be horrible to be under the spotlight being scrutinized. I agree totally re the tweets - way out of order.

Don't really get why she would give an interview like that to the very paper that makes up the stories about something going on. Sorry may seem heartless but it
may drum up a few sympathy votes for them. Don't think there is anything going on but it keeps them in the spotlight.

It's an interview she's done for a magazine which they've picked up on by the looks of it. Agree with you it will get her some sympathy votes. Why doesn't she just get on with things like Georgia is? You don't see Georgia crying to the press.

Well Georgia has done plenty of interviews with the press - including with the same newspaper too (just before the split). And I wouldn't be surprised if the story in New came from her this week. I feel increasingly sorry for Laura - she can't bloody win. Everyone else does press etc but she's supposed to hide away?! Fair play to her for trying to put the record straight. (Oh and Georgia did plenty of press when there was speculation about her last year).

Don't get me wrong Wicks I feel sorry for her (anyone would who has a heart) but Georgia has just thrown herself into work. She should do the same with Strictly. Obviously she'll do press around Strictly but if questions are asked, keep them short and sweet and move on. I mean come on, sat there sobbing!

That was a really honest interview - it's not nice to think that the shitstorm she was thrown into is affecting her so much. Strictly is a once in a lifetime experience and she should be enjoying every second, not feeling like she has to hold back but it sounds like she is. Laura has the producers to thank for that and that article and last nights dance proves to me that she should have been partnered with Brendan not Gio, for both dancing and chemistry reasons. I noticed last night that when they were stood on the balcony they were barely touching at all after the stupid comments on twitter about them touching each other too much and Gio having his arm round her waist (they were acting no different than any other couple to me). It must be horrible to have every move scrutinised. I see no flirty chemistry at all between them, just a nice friendship.

To be honest they can't really win, if they act like a normal strictly couple and get on and have a laugh then they are flirting with 'amazing chemistry' and if they 'leave in seperate entrances' (it clearly wasn't) then they are hiding a romance.

I didn't enjoy the routine - i'm not sure why, it just felt a bit clunky and too frantic at times.
Maybe it was because i've never seen moulin rouge, i'm not sure. Laura looked gorgeous and i really liked the costume in the end.

I have to say by talking about it she's probably making it worse. She is flogging a dead horse because they are never going to give up. They have tried to build up speculation with aljaz and daisy but they seem to just ignore it and get on with it. Had Laura been with aljaz there would probably have been stories about them too it's just what happens every year. I personally think Georgia doesn't really talk to the press about personal things except maybe she might give a small hint of something and everyone tries to work out the rest.

It's mentioned in the article that there are always stories about her and male celebrities surely she must build up some defence to it otherwise she'd spend her life being upset over every story that came out.

Obviously don't agree with people sending nasty tweets but that seems another thing you have to build a defence agAinst if you are a celebrity nowadays.

Hi everyone one xxx hope ye enjoyed the show last night👍

Have to say I loved Greg and Natalie and Claudia and Aj great performances. Thought judge was entertaining and Danny and Oti was good too. Actually I enjoyed them all. Great performances for week 3. Have to admit Gio and Laura did struggle with the lifts. She's definitely imo a ballroom dancer however it was great to see her enjoying it😀 Thought Gio was brilliant 👏 And Gorka well he can arrest me whenever he likes😜

I notice a lot saying Laura is too tall for Gio but does no one think daisy and aljiaz are worse???

I don't know if it is because Laura has long thin legs but she just seems bigger than Gio. She looks better with him when she has a longer dress on like in the waltz.I suppose we will have to see what aljaz looks like when he lifts daisy hAvnt really done any yet.

Im sorry but even if your a celebrity they are still human. I'm actually shocked by people on here saying she is looking for sympathy. This is from her strictly blog she is doing for glamour magazine. Georgia gave plenty of interviews during her time so it's a bit like pot calling the kettle black. She just can't win. I just wish she could enjoy her strictly journey and not have all this destroying it. As hard as it is for ye GG are over and that as nothing to do with Laura .

I appreciate that you are entitled to your opinion, but can't help feeling that maybe your posts could have been worded a little gentler bearing in mind the problems that this thread has had recently.

I thought that we had agreed to avoid directly comparing Laura and Georgia as it is unfair to all parties. Perhaps you missed this in your absence from the thread.

Please don't take this personally but this thread has been under threat and I would hate for that to happen again.

Agree with all of this Lozzer.
I feel sorry for all three of them to be honest (meaning Georgia, Gio and Laura).
It is not a nice situation for anyone to be in. Like I said before even Gio who I think is better at shrugging things off has clearly been affected by all of this. He can not act how he normally would because of the intense spot light on every little thing he does.

I am still annoyed that the producers put them in this situation which could have been so easily avoided and wish people and the press would back off a bit. The media is very clever at planting seeds in people's minds that are just not there. At the end of the day they have done nothing wrong! However I think the press are going to continue being relentless so Laura and Gio need to just show their true selves and try to stop stressing about it - but it's easier said than done isn't it!!
