I'll have you know we have our moments in Malvern, didn't you know it's the centre of the universe It's actually quite a big theatre here and we get quite a few shows pre-West End. When I drove past the theatre yesterday I did see all the stage props being unloaded from the huge lorries that transport the equipment.

If there are any reviews in the local press I'll post links for you and if I bump into her in Wilko's or Waitrose I'll say hello from you

How are you finding this series of strictly so far?
it's going really well. I was really pleased with our first performances.

Are you getting on well with Laura?
She's doing really well. I'm really pleased with her. She's a nice lady.

Is she a hard worker?
I'm lucky because she can dance.

Are you strict with her in training?
All the celebrities want a coffee break after 15 minutes, so you have to be strict. But other times you can be fun. We work hard because we want to do well.

Who is your biggest competition this year?
Everyone is really good and i'm competitive. I got to the final last year and i want to do that again this year. I've got a good partner.

It was recently revealed Laura has a boyfriend. Have you met him?
I don't know if she has one. We only talk about dancing. We don't have time to speak about other stuff.

Do rumours about your private life ever get you down?
My private life is my private life and her private life is her private life

Do you have a cheeky drink on a night off?
I don't drink. I only drink coffee because i'm Italian.

What do you eat to stay in shape?
I'm not in shape! i eat McDonalds every day. I'm just joking, i eat normally and exercise every day. I don't go to the gym because i'm too tired. We rehearse all day.

Thanks Lozzer, Gio doesn't like to give too much away does he! He keeps saying he doesn't drink yet I remember when Aljaz/Janette/Kevin/Karen came to GG's for dinner he had a beer by him! He better drink as there was prosecco/lemoncello/beer in the hamper as well as 2 packs of expresso!!!

I think he does drink but not much. Not like some Brits do (she says, just getting over her hangover from Saturday night!). There's plenty of pics of him with a beer but I doubt he drinks much - well not often anyway

I'm sure he does drink but probably not a lot - in the pics of last years wrap party he looked pretty tipsy to me
Didn't they also mention having beers in the fridge in one of the periscopes?

Hi Lola the cat thank you for visiting - I spent my childhood in Worcestershire and used to sometimes visit the Malvern Hills on Sunday School outings - so in my mind Malvern is very quiet, green and rural
I do know Elgar was born in Malvern so that all fits in !

As I thought Gio will refuse to discuss his private life and doesn't want the GG relationship to be gossiped about. If only he knew............but it's only cos we bloody care!
I just wish Gio would have said "we got to the final not I got to the final"
In his defence though I think saying we would have opened up prying questions and this may be why Georgia said the same in one of her interviews.

I hope they can both get to the point in the future where they can talk about their dance partnership instead of treating it like it is something they can't discuss. It was too special to now just be swept under the carpet
Sorry I am harping on again but I always remember Georgia saying she had made a friend for life in Gio. I know they can't be best buddies at the mo but to lose any of that basic friendship that drew them together would be a damn shame. Maybe in time eh or maybe they are already ok?

I would imagine that that would just wind him up at the moment and to be honest, I'm not sure I'd blame him! I'm sure he will look back on it all with fondness in time - he can't not, but at the moment, with all the grief he's getting on Twitter comparing Laura to Georgia, and commenting on his interactions with Laura etc I would think it would just seem like people are having a dig, to be honest

Like you I hope their relationship is going to be in a good place soon. Hopefully at the very least as friends. Gio was there for Georgia during very difficult periods in her life, and Georgia was there for Gio helping him navigate his way round a new country and language. I think I'm missing them a bit today and their old interaction and tweets and pics. Hopefully things will be better soon.

I actually thought Tameka was more improved in the dance off whereas Laura wasn't any better - she really isn't a latin girl. Wonderful ballroom though.
