I wish the BAT PR people had arranged for some publicity shots in Sheffield a la Pixie Lott 'walks to theatre door wearing an outfit of the day with flowing tresses and a scarlet lip etc etc etc etc '. Then at least its in the diary, doesn't take too long and there are pics with good hair and makeup if the tabloids want it. Why they aren't doing this once or twice at each regional theatre.... its a mystery.

I guess its budget-related and they don't want to shell out for more PR but it seems to me be a false economy.

BAT is a glamorous play so why not put Georgia in a pretty day dress walking 'casually' to the theatre door? Puzzled.

Both the DM and the OK articles show how inaccurate all their info is !

OK say she has a new TV role to get over Gio etc but we all know she recorded it while she was still in that relationship.

The DM confidently say she must have finished rehearsals for the day when she was obviously on her way to do two shows - don't they check anything ?
A quick look at the BAT web site would have given them the correct information.

That is quite funny because Pixie's biggest fans here in the DS Strictly Forum always insisted that Pixie was just innocently on her way to the theatre or leaving it - and even though she obviously was posing like mad and spent much time doing so, she was very much papped against her will according to them
Although they always insisted that GG walking from their hotel to the arenas on the Strictly Tour was a vile call for attention.

However even when our Georgia stopped outside the theatre to talk to the backstage staff who were out on a ciggie break she was attention seeking - especially as she sat down and petted one of their dogs.
Georgia had no make up on and was very casually dressed and looked surprised to be papped but had no doubt planned the whole thing

I guess the PR people have done their worst - photographing all three Holly actresses looking like Audrey was quite a fatal blow - some of the early reviews reflected the audience disappointment that the play was not like the film.
I guess they had to pull out all the stops to try and fill the West End Theatre - they had all sorts of special offers going on.
Getting Pixie papped everyday meant they kept it in the DM - some of her fashion choices were to say the least eye catching
They have set up nice radio and local press interviews for Georgia in all the places where she is appearing - and she spent a day in Belfast doing PR.

The best story I have just seen on twitter (which I won't link in case it's dodgy) is that Georgia has been linked to a male mannequin.
Isn't that one of those plastic things that you put clothes on in the shop window?!

Its a bit of a puzzle. Pixie's daily photocalls were... errrr...... fairly obviously set up at the stage door round the back of the Theatre Royal. It generated good PR for the play and ticket sales. BAT overall is a bit of a mixed bag as an adaptation by all accounts (script - not actors!) so they have needed decent PR throughout the run. Pixie I thought got lucky there as they stuck her in some fairly expensive frocks so good for her image, good promo for the designers and fitting for the general vibe of BAT. Sometimes they went for 'wacky offbeat' fashion for Pixie which at least I guess is clickbait.

I must admit I thought it was a no-brainer that Georgia would do something similar as part of PR but they have cut out that aspect for the regional tour of BAT it seems. Maybe local press and radio etc as you say is the most effective PR in the regions.

Its a shame if it results in Georgia being harassed. John Mather, the pap in question, seems unrepentant on Twitter

'Stallion' was one of those words that, though I knew the vague connotations, I didn't have much grasp of the actual meaning. So I looked it up online and the definitions I got from dictionaries (ordinary and urban I might add!) were rather more crude and graphic than I expected them to be!
I guess saying that is what's termed as lad's humour is it, more at home in the schoolyard than Strictly studio I would've thought?!



I very happily join you in your obsession with Mr. Balls, Star! His facial expressions are also always a particular joy to watch, his looks in that Charleston are brilliant, and it seems that when he makes a mistake in the Paso he just starts to kinda smile and laugh - and I take it from the fact that he seemed to spend quite a lot of the routine smiling that he made quite a lot of mistakes!!

The DM are mind readers too, she's apparently deep in thought about George - I mean she could have had literally any facial expression on and they would've linked it to him!
For some reason I don't think that was Georgia's 'deep in thought' look it was more her peed off look - and thanks to everyone who updates on Snapchat (thank you to everyone for that btw!) we have some quite strong evidence that that was indeed her peed off look.
