Then Georgia is saying they've got time for doubles when they get to the pub.

Star messaged her the night before and she said to come and say Hi....so because she'd said that we couldn't really chicken out.

We came out of the theatre and walked round to stage door and she was stood in front of us on the street talking to another fan, so we couldn't back out then even if we'd wanted to.

She really really is just so stunningly beautiful”

Oh how I wish Janette could sort Gio and Georgia out ! 😉😢

Lovely that Georgia is still close friends with Janette and Aljaz

Well I had hoped Georgia had a hot date - I wasn't thinking of Janette !

I can't get worked up about Sushi - I like sticky rice, black seaweed and even raw fish but I don't find the combination all that exciting.
I do like the pink pickled ginger !

... and absolutely adore Mai Tai cocktails

Well George put on Instagram earlier that he's off to Zurich for a week so that ruled him out of being a potential hot date.

Janette is pretty hot though and a good laugh - it looks like they had a fun night

I've only eaten sushi once and I never will again - it was horrible!!

Hi everyone!!!
Sorry I've been 'off piste' for a few days (quite an accurate statement on saturday night actually!! ) but have had family up all weekend who I only see very rarely, some went back yesterday but the remainder have not been that long gone, one of those delightful little families who you want to spend as much time as possible with!!
Aside from that as I mentioned the other day I don't know what my current problem is with DS but it's still being a flamin nightmare!! GG Fred & Afton's cat have been in hiding for days (much like Afton herself in fact???)

Loved reading about Star & Loz & have been in touch with Star via PM!!
Loving that both were quite rightly elevated to Dame status & loving even more that Georgia is just as lovely & even more beautiful than we all thought!!

Not got much time to post as I've stupidly wasted my time on a more pointless venture elsewhere, just wanted to pop in to let you all know I'm going to BatT tonight and will get back to you about it as soon as I can. The problem is its half-term and I'm kept occupied with the kids over the next few days, so it may not be right away. Really looking forward to it!

Oh and a Mai Tai for Sandy 🍹 X”

Thank you Alison! Finding it exhausting already! (Shopping trip to London with a fifteen year old and a five year old is NOT to be recommended!!!!) 15 year old spending too long in the shops but finding nothing she likes - while the 5 year old is bored out her brains and lets me know about it!! Had to give the elder daughter her day though, as its the 5 year old who wins most of the time

Better go and get things done or I won't make it there tonight!

Just catching up on Monkseal's blog and this bit about Laura and Gio made me laugh -

OH NO! Laura has picked up an injury to her ankle which means that she’s in an increasing amount of pain as the week goes on, until it reaches the point of blurry painkiller cam anguish faces, and she has to go to see the physio. Cut to an ashen faced Laura and a mopey looking Giovanni, saying sadly “the physio’s just said that I can’t dance”. Bit harsh, she’s not *that* bad. Must be a Georgia fan. She has a bit of a weep about not being able to do the jive this week, as it’s one of her favourite dances, but concludes that she has to prioritise the wellbeing of her body over everything else. BOO! SLACKER! DO AN ANASTACIA! TEAR EVERYTHING OPEN! STRICTLY DEMANDS IT!

It reminded me of a Tweet, that made me giggle, after the pro dance with Gio dancing with that broom, that was along the lines of 'Gio's partner is so terribly wooden' and someone replied 'Rude. And she has a name BTW, it's Laura.'

*For the record I think Laura is an ok dancer (and it doesn't help that this year has loads of brilliant dancers) But I still so wish Gio had been partnered with Louise (or Anastacia.)

I know Jammy! All very sad isn't it!! Georgia is so much a big part of that Strictly family - she loves them and they all love her, can see that from the many tweets from them all and meet-ups. I love James carney makes a big fuss of her too - says it all for me!

I think Jo will go to Brighton this week (if in London that is) to see BatT!! And you never know who else either, maybe Oti & Ors..depending on where their training of course!

Lovely to see those words between them!

Hope you have a great time Humpty. I'm going on Thursday so I'll probably avoid reading your report until after I've seen the play.

Apologies in advance for this starting off slightly OT! I speak as someone who is essentially not 'into' films, but a few days back I saw a firm entitled 'I Daniel Blake' which I genuinely recommend people seeing. Essentially it is a damning indictment of the benefits system that exists in modern Britain, the bureaucracy involved, and the disgusting classification of those who need benefits as 'shirkers' and 'scroungers'. In fairness, there is little in the film that is unexpected, but it really does bring home to you the utterly hideous lives of people who have very little or no income.

Perhaps what I actually admire most in Georgia is that she is absolutely grounded, her down to earth nature, and a real appreciation of all the 'good' things she has going for her. Only yesterday we had an Instagram post with a hashtag 'living the dream', whenever it's a family or friends birthday she'll write about them all in such absolutely glowing terms, generally saying how lucky she feels to have them in her life. Then you have the tremendous love and affection she shows for her fans (one small example being her meeting Star and Loz at the weekend, and not only that but sending a beautiful message over social media that day). And I remember her whole time during Strictly, right until the end she was saying how she couldn't even believe she was on the show, always stressing how much of a privilege it was for her to appear on it, and in every interview I've heard her give about Strictly she describes it as the 'best show ever'. All those things are examples of her grounded attitude, a total awareness of the world around her and a realization of the many 'good' things she has in life - I'm always very skeptical about the use of the word 'role model' but, in my view, it most definitely applies to Georgia.

As I say, I always remember in one of the interviews prior to the Strictly final last year when the celebrities were being asked to describe how it felt to be there, and Georgia said that it felt like a privilege. I always feel rather disappointed when I do see comments such as those from Laura a few weeks back in which she said that she felt her experience of Strictly had been 'spoilt' before it had started because of some tabloid articles created and some tweets sent to her. I think it's a huge shame for that she feels that her experience has been 'spoilt', so many people across the country would just absolutely love to be given the chance to be taught how to dance and to be able to appear in the show, and I should imagine that a great majority more people would be extremely grateful for the 50,000 pounds on average that you get from the show! By no means am I saying that celebs should feel as if they shouldn't share their feelings with people, as I say it's a genuine shame for her if she feels her experience has been 'spoilt' before it's started. But I think Georgia's attitude is extremely commendable, she had many tabloid stories written about her during the series, but always took the time to make clear how lucky and privileged she felt to be on the programme.”

Great post Brian - I couldn't agree more. I think that a lot of her attitude must come from her rather unusual upbringing with having lived with a succession of kids that were fostered by her parents. This must have shown her what difficult lives other people live and as you say made her very grateful for the good things that have come her way.

There's a message from Forum Support which in this case simply says "thread closed". Then a little padlock is put next to the list of thread titles which shows that it cannot be opened again. Of course that's not to stop anyone opening another similar thread.

I really hope some of the Strictly gang can make it to see Brighton to see BAT. I think it would mean so much to Georgia.

I guess Georgia and Gio are on different life paths. Georgia is looking to settle down, to get married and have a family. Whereas Gio wants to be 'portrayed as an Italian Stallion' and enjoy all the admiration from his admirers. Maturity wise he is not ready to settle down like Aljaz or Gorka.

This fame game is so new to him he's probably been seduced by it. Last year he seemed more grounded and natural but hey I'm not famous and who's to say I wouldn't react the same way. So for now he is happy to enjoy the attention of the Ladies at Cafe De Paris and on Instragram. But one day I guess he will think why did I let her go. Or maybe he won't regret it at all and that's the life he really wants. It's always difficult to fathom Gio as he doesn't give that much away!

Nina, have a fab time at BAT and look forward to reading your report as well!

I don't think it would, I remember going to the opening night of Matthew's dance school and we couldn't just walk in, we had to ring the bell, which I did, and Matthew opened the door and greeted me with a hug and kiss .... I was quite cool on the outside and spoke to him normally but, inside, I was a nervous wreck .... don't forget these actors and dancers need their fans and should be very pleased to meet them
