HI everyone, sorry I've not been posting. I've been keeping up with the thread on my iphone each night but I don't like posting from my iphone as it's too fiddly. I've got my hands on a laptop so i've decided to post now. I'ts late and there's no activity on the thread so i guess everyones in bed now. I did respond to a pm from the lovely star though.
I went to the Saturday night show in Sheffield which was the last night there. I was sat near the front of the stalls so I had a great view. I must have been sat behind the girl on the link above because when I was leaving my seat she was near my row and I walked out just in front of her. i noticed her because she stopped to let me out and also because she was so young. I wish i'd followed her now that i see she was heading to meet Georgia.
Everyone has really said all there is to say about the show so I can't really add much more. Georgia looked and sang beautifully as everyone has already said. I felt that Georgia and Matt carried the show. I couldn't believe how much dialogue she had to remember and to think she's had to do that in her first theatre part.

Obviously we all knew what to expect and that it was based on the book rather than the film but to anyone not being aware (which I think would be the majority of the audience) they may have been confused.

I was so happy to hear that Star & Lozzer got to meet Georgia and that it all went so well for you both

Omg how amazing was it that Humpty and her daughter got to meet her too.

Star you really are a star for helping to sort that out.

To be honest I hadn't intended to go back to meet Georgia but I really regret not meeting her now.
I had a lovely drive to Sheffield with my daughter. The sun was shining and the view was lovely and very picturesque. We went to Piccolinos to have dinner and the food and service was fabulous and we then headed to the theatre. I can tell you it was a different story on the way home when it was heading towards midnight. If you know that road back to Manchester you'll understand. It was pitch black and there was so many bends. Those beautiful views were now drops at the side of the road that we couldn't see. To cap it all off we found ourselves driving through fog.

I think I'll book a hotel next time I go to anything in Sheffiled.
The Stalls where I was sat was completely full and I could see the balcony had lots of people too. Pam mentioned that they didn't do an encore. I noticed that too. The show just ended and they lined up to take a bow and that was it. I don't know if that's just how they ended each show or just the ones Pam and I went to.
When I was watching the show it felt so surreal seeing Georgia in front of me especially with an american accent. when I'm used to just discussing her on here.
I thinks she's done amazingly well to have managed to cope with being on the stage for such a long with so much dialogue to remember in her first live stage part. I just thought if she can do this she can manage anything. I'd love to see her as Sandy in Grease. I think that part would really suit her.
