They were all on tour together so I suppose Georgia remains a friend - but GG seemed to have no contact with her throughout the Summer.”

I remember at the final after the winners were announced Jay swung both Georgia and Aliona around in celebration. Also on the tour they used to play that game where Jay and Aliona would try to grab Georgia and run off with her. I think it's on one of the Strictly live tour videos on You tube and a snippet was on Gleb's twitter.

I always think Aliona has a 'I don't care attitude' and says what she thinks whether it upsets people or not. Like saying Jay was her best dance partner although she had other very good partners like Harry and Matt. I suppose she is in a different position to the other dancers in that she doesn't have to play the BBC PR game because she has a rich husband. Lucky her and congrats on her news.

Aww that was like the good old ring analysis days Brian.
Hopefully in the future Georgia will get to wear a ring on that finger and there will be no doubt about what it means
Anyway I digress, it was nice of Aliona to send a thank you message to Georgia.
I wonder what Georgia meant when she said "the cards" were right that day? Do you think they had a tarot card reading? If so I would love to know what Georgia's reading was and if that was also correct!
I really wish Georgia could join in this thread and answer all of our questions sometimes!!!!
News from ITT - if Laura makes Gio look like a short arse you need to see him standing next to Richard Osman
Sorry Sandy I have cocked up your quote.

Hehe. Gio did look a leetle intimidated stood next to him didn't he?

Gio did look very gorgeous tonight I have to say. Mind you both GG always look gorgeous.

I was going to suggest wearing good earplugs Sandy as it will stop the loud bangs from annoying you. Problem is you won't be able to hear much of anything else either!!
At least your dog is ok with the noise. I feel very sorry for pets at this time of year.

I remember them doing some tarot card reading, on the tour bus, during the Strictly live tour. Maybe that's what she was referring too

Georgia's just put a video on snapchat holding a bag of 'potato chips' attempting the Belfast accent! Have to say it's much better than Gios Irish accent

Well remembering I am being a bit of a grouch today I didn't enjoy it that much !

The Judge and Oksana and 'Lavanni' both did very nice interviews.

Then there was a rather boring bit about belly dancing,
Gethin from Elstree was really dull and silly.
It was Louise 's Birthday and he gave her a large cup cake with candles and asked her pointless questions - he later interviewed Kevin, Karen, Aljaz and Janette all of whom were OTT - too much sugar ?

The clips of all the couples dancing were interesting.
There should be some great dances tomorrow night.

But what really got on my nerves were the 'Strictly Panel' - I find Carol Kirkwood to be pleasant to the point of tedious and the singer they had on obviously didn't really know much if anything about Strictly.
Richard Osman was more knowledgeable but was trying too hard to be funny.
I like the Friday panel to be opinionated even if they are wrong IMO - better still I like them to be real Strictly fans and know something about dancing.

Then they played Strictly Pointless where Carol demonstrated that you wouldn't want her on your side in a quiz - such stupid answers.

There you are - everyone else can now rush in and say it was wonderful and I am being a real misery

I have now managed to watch tonight's ITT ! not a bad show and I must say a lot of the dances look very good this week ! Will be interesting to see who ends up in the bottom two ! Will be hard from now on I think and we may have a shock elimination soon. The couples interviews were good, but I hate to say it but I thought Laura and Gio were so full of themselves and I found it so annoying to watch ! Gio seems to have his mojo back this week, but did come across a bit , oh look at me ! Think being at the top of the leaderboard,( joint may I add ) has gone to his head ! 😂😂 The Samba looks quite good though and it will be interesting to see how they do this week ! Think it's going to be interesting to see how the judges score ! Wonder who the favourite will be this week ! 😂😂

Looking forward to the show

Looks like Georgia and co are back tonight, great comments there. Georgia really is coming across very very well ! I wish I could go and see it again to see how much she has progressed since the first week when I saw her.

Well done Georgia for being the trooper we know you are, must have been a difficult week with you not feeling well ! And to get those comments too ! What a star 😀

HI everyone, sorry I've not been posting. I've been keeping up with the thread on my iphone each night but I don't like posting from my iphone as it's too fiddly. I've got my hands on a laptop so i've decided to post now. I'ts late and there's no activity on the thread so i guess everyones in bed now. I did respond to a pm from the lovely star though.
I went to the Saturday night show in Sheffield which was the last night there. I was sat near the front of the stalls so I had a great view. I must have been sat behind the girl on the link above because when I was leaving my seat she was near my row and I walked out just in front of her. i noticed her because she stopped to let me out and also because she was so young. I wish i'd followed her now that i see she was heading to meet Georgia.
Everyone has really said all there is to say about the show so I can't really add much more. Georgia looked and sang beautifully as everyone has already said. I felt that Georgia and Matt carried the show. I couldn't believe how much dialogue she had to remember and to think she's had to do that in her first theatre part.
Obviously we all knew what to expect and that it was based on the book rather than the film but to anyone not being aware (which I think would be the majority of the audience) they may have been confused.
I was so happy to hear that Star & Lozzer got to meet Georgia and that it all went so well for you both Omg how amazing was it that Humpty and her daughter got to meet her too. Star you really are a star for helping to sort that out.
To be honest I hadn't intended to go back to meet Georgia but I really regret not meeting her now.
I had a lovely drive to Sheffield with my daughter. The sun was shining and the view was lovely and very picturesque. We went to Piccolinos to have dinner and the food and service was fabulous and we then headed to the theatre. I can tell you it was a different story on the way home when it was heading towards midnight. If you know that road back to Manchester you'll understand. It was pitch black and there was so many bends. Those beautiful views were now drops at the side of the road that we couldn't see. To cap it all off we found ourselves driving through fog. I think I'll book a hotel next time I go to anything in Sheffiled.
The Stalls where I was sat was completely full and I could see the balcony had lots of people too. Pam mentioned that they didn't do an encore. I noticed that too. The show just ended and they lined up to take a bow and that was it. I don't know if that's just how they ended each show or just the ones Pam and I went to.
When I was watching the show it felt so surreal seeing Georgia in front of me especially with an american accent. when I'm used to just discussing her on here.
I thinks she's done amazingly well to have managed to cope with being on the stage for such a long with so much dialogue to remember in her first live stage part. I just thought if she can do this she can manage anything. I'd love to see her as Sandy in Grease. I think that part would really suit her.

His response to Anastacia when she was told she was in the DO was lovely.
(Am I the only one who likes him ?)

I was hoping to support Jo (because she is such good friends with GG) and Ore madly but there is just something not working for me in that partnership.
After the jive and 'Singin in the rain' I thought they were destined to win as it was quite spectacular but last week not so much.

And of course Ed and Katya I do like daisy and aljaz too and I hope she's not in the dance off this week!

I agree about Jo and Ore too, there is something missing for me! Same with Laura and Gio - I really liked their waltz and thought their tango was great! But there is something missing for me and I don't just mean because they are not GG!”

Well Sandy, judging by the responses you've had to your question about liking Danny, I'm so pleased to see you're not the only one liking him. I love Danny and want him to win. I remember watching GG on the first week doing the jive and I was blown away. I thought they were amazing and the chemistry, wow. I actually wanted them to be a couple at that point. The chemistry was so obvious even at that early stage.

I've mentioned already on here that I'd never heard of Danny until SCD but I was blown away by his first dance too and all his dances since. I think he's gorgeous and such a lovely guy. If he didn't have a girlfriend I'd choose him for Georgia over the recently mentioned chap. Obviously if I could choose anyone it would always be Gio first. No one can compare to GG as they really were unique. A one off.

I think Ore is really good but like some have mentioned the partnership isn't doing it for me. I do think they should and will be in the final though.

I think Louise is really good and I really like her. I know some think she is bland but I think she just reserved and a bit shy. That's just her personality. She's classy and decent and you'll never hear any stories about her. Louise and Jamie just seem a really lovely committed couple.

I like Claudia/AJ & Daisy/Aljaz very much too.

Of course Ed/Katya for the fun factor. He's hilarious Katya is so lovely.

I kind of thought the same to be honest! Well I thought gio was full of himself - not so much Laura! He has had several tweets about his samba hips though which he appears to be loving I agree their samba does look good- but so do quite a few of the dances so will be interesting to see what happens on the night

Dee thanks for your review glad you enjoyed the show and sorry you didn't get to meet Georgia!

Well it's probably a foregone conclusion that Bruno will award them a 9 because he has done that the last 2 times and no way was their salsa as good as their tango! Maybe might even be a 10 this week!! Laura seems to be walking and dancing ok on heels now so her leg must be fully recovered. Hard to say who might be in the bottom two this week other than maybe ed if his support runs out. I think it's now you will begin to see who are the most popular as they are mostly all pretty much as good as each other.

I think Gio is in danger of believing his own PR - He was enjoying interacting with the ladies in the audience and they seemed to be loving him.
I guess he is just playing his part.

I do wish those 6 or 7 lady fans would stop telling him that he is an Italian Stallion and that his 'ips' make them faint - because the one thing he didn't seem to learn from Georgia was modesty and they are encouraging him to be a bit overly arrogant.
He always was a bit arrogant which seemed charming but he could easily over do it now.

I agree about the Friday Panels on ITT. I'm not expecting expert analysis and it should be fun. Richard was a good choice. But I agree it would be nice to see people on it who are interested enough in the show to know about it, know the dances, know the partnerships and what they've danced before - and have an opinion I know most aren't as obsessive as us lot but most watch the show and are involved enough to know whats going on, so I can't see it being a difficult job to find 3 people.

Thanks for your report Dee that was a good read! Glad you enjoyed the show and shame you regret not having gone to meet her, you would have had a right old natter! Shes so down to earth you forget you're actually talking to someone you don't know and have never met before - its far more comfortable than talking to a random stranger (either a celeb or not) as its feels like you're just chatting to an old mate. Thats how friendly and warm she is.

Lovely to hear from you Dee - I missed you x

I have admitted here before that I never managed to learn to drive so the thought of driving from Sheffield to Manchester in the dark fills me with horror !
I would definitely want to stay overnight

From all the accounts it seems Georgia is great on stage - and she can sing too which we never knew.
'Trollied' is about to start and that is also another new feather in her cap - TV comedy.
I hope she gets a film soon because I think that is on her wish list.

Looking forward to the show”

Funny as I thought the same! I think as his followers on Instagram grow, so does his head! Said it right from the start of the series, not the same guy and I can't put my finger on it. Not meaning that in a negative way at all but....he's changed.

I'm joining in with the Danny & Oti love. Didn't like her last series but this series has really shown her personality and she's been amazing.
