Jo and Gio must have found that difficult being such good friends but I suppose they are used to being competitive.

I thought Gio and Laura had another couple of weeks at least but I can't say I am totally shocked with the result.
Gio looked crestfallen and I have to say my heart went out to him a little bit as I know it means a lot to him. I guess the glitterball in not meant to be his just yet but he will be gutted to be out before they have even made Blackpool week.

They were just dead unlucky to be up against Ore when it came to it, who is a far better dancer, as they improved 150% from the original sat night dance!!

I thought Bruno might have just gone with L & G but I agree with them, it would have been a bigger travesty had Ore gone!!

quick pop back, my thought she was such a weak dancer , and her foot injury, he tried to cover up for her with his little exhibition which would not endear him to GBP

I have just seen your post and I think there is no doubt Gio will be invited back.
It was just a few fast spins at the end of his dance that's all !! I think it has all been blown out of proportion to be honest (not on this thread I should add by the way).

I wouldn't think Gio's performance would have the slightest bearing on his future involvement in the show. Plenty of pros have done similar, not least as distraction techniques.

Nor do I think it would have had any bearing on the weekend's result - having been one of the best last week, Laura was undoubtedly one of the worst this week

I think it was probably a mix of showing off and trying to distract from her shortcomings (injury related or otherwise) and whilst not the nicest note for her to end on, I really don't think it affected the result

I agree that that backstage clip was super awkward but generally I think they seem to get on well and seemed fine with each other during the results show

I thought they seemed gracious when voted out - I bet both were gutted. Still having survived the dance off very early on and then having come close to dropping out due to Laura's injury, it could have ended a lot sooner.

Collaw great to see you back but I too highly doubt gios performance this weekend will make any difference to him being back next year! He has signed a 2 year contract for starters but he has always been an amazing partner and choreographer so I don't think they will want to lose him just yet

Lots of us like Oti and Danny but I don't think we will be coming over in any permanent way

I agree Wicks and would be shocked if he wasn't back next season. I think he had little choice with the over dancing but sadly it made Laura look worse than she was. The problem for both Laura and Daisy is the lack of fan base.

Gio will be hoping for a Christmas special celeb I think he needs more then just pro dances for the next couple of months. It may be a bit of a bun fight though with so many male pro's out this year.

I'm sure that he will be back and hopefully he will have a better shot at the final again. Laura was not good enough, particularly at the Latin and the injury of course did not help.
