The Jive was not the dance for Claudia and those 9s were ridiculous! But usually Claudia is brilliant - much, much better than Greg. The right person went IMO.

Most people have a dance that just isn't their dance. Jive was Claudia's. The ridiculously fast routine and very high heels didn't help.

Gio is a bad eater - he eats Mc Donalds everyday.

When he goes to Aldo's restaurant he eats properly.

He got told off for eating badly (by a female guest or presenter I don't know who she was lol) but he says he's dancing for 10 hours so its ok.

He drinks lots of water though.

Female guest said she was sad to see Greg go and was then ribbed about not being sad that Gio went.

Gio says Ed has rhythm and he's very good. He said you can see his improvement every week. Gio seemed very impressed with Ed and did not go along with their 'when should Ed leave as its unfair' rubbish.

Gio started dancing when he was 7. He started dancing because he watched a show like Strictly and saw the guys getting close to the ladies lol

Gios dad wasn't happy with him wanting to be a dancer as it was 'for women' and now his dad is his biggest fan.

They have 3 dance studios in Sicily.

Gio doesn't want to do anything other than dancing.

They were talking about how Strictly is a big family and everyone gets very close.

They then started to hint towards ribbing him about Georgia by saying every year the dancers seem to get very close with their celebs. Gio laughed and said he knew where they were going with this.

He said he got with his partner of last year, his ex girlfriend, after Strictly. They were asking about whether they continue dancing after Strictly and do the celebs want to carry on. Gio said he did carry on dancing with Georgia after Strictly as she often asked to dance but he was very busy with his shows so not as much as she'd have liked.

They asked about him living with her so they would have had time to dance together. He said lived with Georgia for 8 months. They danced together in another event (the Waitrose thing I assume.) But he spent too much time teaching other people so didn't want to go home to dance again. Said it was the same as them cooking in the restaurant and then not wanting to cook when they got home.

He said Ed balls is the best and he loves him. Nice guy and great dancer.

Gio wants Aldo on Strictly.

Can't disagree with you, Wicks but I thought Greg was rubbish. Never got the love for him or the over marking from the judges so I'm more than happy he's gone

Have to say If it had been judged on Saturday performance Claudia would have been back home by now for me but I thought in the DO she did it so much better and slightly edged Greg!! Not much in it though!!

Ed's continued presence seems to be starting to upset a few, but I aren't one of them!!!

I caught Gio on Aldo Zilli's radio show

There was a nutritionist on - Aldo was talking about losing weight and how he gave up sugar for 2 weeks but felt awful and hated his kids () and so then introduced it slowly - but has been losing weight etc

And he asked Gio about his diet - he said that he eats McDonalds every day but that it's ok as he dances for 10 hours a day so it doesn't matter. Aldo says that it still does as it matters inside - not just about him being fit. The nutrionist was quite diplomatic and said that McDonalds isn't that bad and it depends what choices he makes.

He was talking about how he got into dancing at 7 and that he saw Come Dancing and wanted to do it as he saw how close the men got to the women! He said that he dad wanted him to carry on with football or do basketball but he wanted to dance. He said that his dad thought that dancing was for females but is now his biggest fan and wishes he could be a dancer.

Aldo made some joke about getting close to your dance partners and asked if that is because you spend so much time together. Gio said something like how he knows that this is what Aldo wants to talk about - and that he's single but yes, that's what happened to him and his ex celebrity partner, his ex girlfriend (Aldo said "i know" and I think something about knowing them both but they were taking over each other a bit so I didn't catch it). Gio stressed that they got together after the show. He didn't mention Georgia by name but didn't seem awkward to discuss her. Either he or Aldo mentioned that they lived together (Gio said for 8 months) and Aldo asked if they ever danced together after Strictly. Gio mentioned that they did a show together, but Aldo clarified that he meant at home or at clubs. Gio said no, as he was always too busy dancing or teaching others to dance and that she'd ask in the kitchen and he'd say maybe later but that they never really did. He said that it's like a chef who cooks all day and doesn't want to cook when they get home.

Other things:-

There was some mention of him not being in Strictly now and he said that he's still in it, he's doing the group numbers etc.

He was asked about Greg leaving and he said it's sad as everyone becomes like family and really close and the celebrities become close to each other too (actually I think it was at this point that Aldo segued into "speaking of close..." and asking about people getting together with their partners, which led to the bit about Georgia - Gio said "I know where you're going with this").

He said he loves Ed Balls and that he's a really nice guy and that it's great as he's improving and becoming a good dancer and that it doesn't matter that he wasn't good to begin with as he's improving. And that he's got rhythm.

He said that he's got 3 dance studios in Italy (I presume these are family ones - ie with his mum, rather than just his? Don't know).

They asked if he was doing the tour and he said that he doesn't know but he hopes so - and that they won't know for a week or 2 weeks.

I think that that was about it.

I didn't really have much of a view of him - he seemed nice though. But I'm not much of a fan of Claudia and AJ so I would have been fine had they gone, to be honest. I really felt for Greg and Natalie (poor Natalie looked so upset - I think she thought it was finally her year to have a contender - after years of duffers). To be honest, I'm not particularly fussed about any of them! I really don't have a favourite, I don't think - though I'm still enjoying the series.

No. It's brilliant Wicks. I couldn't remember the exact wording to things and what was said in the background as I was on the phone (boring work related,) listening to the radio and typing So I think between us both we have it pretty much covered


I'm not bothered now, either. Greg was the last person I 'wanted' gone. Now, it's tough for me as I like the rest of them. Nothing like last year though and I wouldn't particularly care who went tbh. However, I will say; Ed Balls for the Glitterball!!
