I genuinely don't see any carve up! Danny had the pimp slot, 2 of his strongest dances and EFFUSIVE praise from the judges. Ore totally swung it for me on the night. I wasn't that enamoured with Danny's show dance unfortunately
I do think Claudia was weaker than all these 3 - and that it was the right 3 in the final. Though I LOVED her QS last week and thought she was better than Louise on the night
I honestly think Ore was fab tonight. I get why some of you might not have wanted him to win but I struggle with the point of view that he shouldn't have been in the final

Agree wicks, I was backing Ore. I thought he danced the best and so happy for Jo. Not a popular opinion I know. First time I backed a winner for a while.

With the show dances I feel that last year jay and alionas and to a point GG did a compilation of dances from over the series and the judges made out that show dances should be more exciting and different. To me ores was a ballroom dance but the judges gushed over it. IMO Danny was probably too good from the start and that's why he didn't win. Thought Louise was pretty much the same throughout. Pity we didn't get to see a show dance from Claudia and aj.

I could watch Danny all night,nothing to do with the fact I find him very handsome and he seems a really lovely person. I think he is one of the best dancers ever on strictly.

I didn't mind who won out of Danny and Louise. The only one I didn't want to win was Ore. As usual, nothing ever goes my way
But anyway I'm still peed off that Georgia didn't win last year to get hung up on this year!

Sorry Anne - my mistake- it was Pam 's post I was replying to.
I know what is meant about Jay's show dance last year - there was nothing new in it and I felt very uninteresting- but I can't compare Ore's to that.
I agree with those of you that say that Louise was the sane throughout. I liked her well enough but didn't see the 'journey' to confidence that everyone insisted on telling us that she went on!

Absolutely agree Wicks. I would have liked Danny to win but I thought that Ore and Jo were definitely best on the night and in fact I was surprised by how good they were. IMO they did three great dances and I thought their jive was especially good and also liked the showdance very much. As someone else said Ore peaked at just the right time. All the people on Twitter saying it's a fix don't seem to understand that the only thing the Strictly producers want is great ratings. They couldn't give a toss that he works for the BBC. I think Danny rather lost momentum over the last couple of weeks after his fantastic samba. I feel sad for him because I think he has worked very hard and he seems like a lovely person.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the final and I loved that traditional ballroom number the pros did at the end for Len - a wonderful send off for him. Also loved the dance that Gio and Katya did to Emilie Sande.
Nina - you are so right. I work in TV and always find the cries of 'fix' to be quite baffling and funny frankly, as I know a little bit about how things usually work behind the scenes. It honestly wouldn't matter a flying fig to the producers who won tonight. And eg I find it hilarious when I read headlines earlier in the series about about the producers wanted Ed out. Err, I doubt it - he was massively talked about and probably boosted ratings, and so I'm sure they were delighted that he stayed in as long as he did!
EDIT - don't feel too sorry for Danny. He's done fantastically well and got HUGE boost from getting this far. Few people will have heard of him before Strictly (me included) but he will have got a massive boost in terms of awareness and popularity from this. I think he'll look back on it as a success

You're quite right - I'm sure that there will be lots of offers coming his way in the near future. I wonder if he can sing as well as dance? I would go and see him if he got the lead in a West End show. Meanwhile he and Oti can get their revenge on the Strictly tour, although I can't remember who Ore's going to be dancing with since Jo is not available. Incidentally I was especially pleased for Jo - I know she gets a lot of stick from certain quarters but I think she incredibly talented and hard working and I like her - most of the time!

Oh dear WICKS......Tom Chambers & Camilla Dallerup is the BEST EVER SHOWDANCE ........I voted like MAD, as I did last year with Georgia & Giovanni which I loved...... the other showdance I never got to see was Ali Bastian & Brian Fortuna (thanks to a BBC man yet again - Hollins)....A & B was to Its Oh so Quiet which would have been Fab too!!
I just knew Ore & Joanne would win this tonight....should have gone with my 1st instinct and not watched - serves me right!!!!

patti - I loved Tom and Camilla's showdance - I'll grant you that! I just couldn't bear him, I'm afraid. And I really didn't like Ali and Brian (she was sweet but bland and ugh, best I don't comment on him, but not a fan at all!!) Funny how we like different people - i guess it would be boring if we all liked the same. I do agree though that someone like Ali was better on the night than Chris Hollins (who was just very popular with the public), whereas this year - I do think Ore was the best on the night - even if Danny had been better across the series as a whole. My favourite winners ever were Kara and Artem - sublime.
EDIT - sorry, my mistake - Ali and Brian only got to the semi final not the final didn't they. But the point still remains that they were definitely better than Chris Hollins. I just didn't like them. Nor him much to be honest!

Gorgeous pic of Georgia and Jo. I noticed motor bike man has started following Katie (Georgia's sister) on Instagram. It's a year since the incident with LSM and hoping Georgia finds the love and happiness she is looking for.
I'm visiting family abroad for the next couple of weeks so I'm just catching up with all your posts. I'm surprised to wake up to a Jo/Ore win but clever show dance from Jo, great choice of music. I was sure it was going to be a Danny/Oti win! Congrats to all the finalists but especially to the winners.
Loved the CCC by Gio and Katya to Emeli Sandi. Also loved the two pro-dances. Gio looking gorgeous and dancing fabulous in all of them. I actually quite like him dancing with Karen. Would love to see him on his tour but not any dates in London. I look forward to reading reports either on here or another of Gio's threads.
Liked the celebs/pro's final group dance but i'm glad I'm not going to the tour this year. All a bit bland compared to class of 2015 for me except of course Ed/Katya! Last year's tour you had GG, Jay/Aliona, Anita/Gleb, Helen/Aljaz and Frankie/Kevin.

Thanks Alicia, it's fab and so great to see Georgia dancing again! It sounds like that was their last show before Christmas so they must have 9 days off. It doesn't matter now but if GG had been together they could have gone to Italia to spend Christmas
