First things first; if anyone knows what the key is to avoid getting bored and fatigued towards the end of a lengthy football tournament, feel free to let me know.
As for tonight, it seems to me that the key to Wales succeeding tonight is not to fall into the trap that both of Portugal's previous opponents have fallen into, namely to be dragged into a slow tempo dirge bogged down in midfield with neither team making anything but cursory forays forwards for fear of getting undone on the counter attack. If Wales play the high intensity match they played against Belgium, they will stand the best chance of getting through to the final - although I think Portugal are probably more equipped to respond in kind that possibly any team that Wales have faced so far. It'll certainly be interesting to see how the missing players affect both teams; Davies and Ramsey are unquestionably big losses for Wales, but the Welsh defence is strong enough to cope with the loss of the former - which is perhaps more than you can say for the Portuguese defence coping with the absence of Pepe. Very intriguing - and historic - match in prospect. |

Come on Andy!
Whoops, wrong thread. No, I meant King of course. Jonny on the bench, chomping at the bit. Blimey, I'm well edgy now.

I think wales have a great chance tonight mainly because i don't rate portugal. They've had one decent game. The rest of their matches have been pretty shit. Same with ronaldo. Yes if he performs to his best then it could be a different story but i don't see it happening.

Viewing figures likely to be affected if the Murray game goes into the final set.

Its a strange feeling in many ways as it feels Portugal are underdogs in this game.

Logic says Wales should win this.
- Wales topped their group. - Portugal came 3rd in theirs. - Belgium won 4-0 against the team that topped Portugal's group - Wales beat Belgium 3-1. So in summary Wales beat the team who whopped the team who topped Portugal's group 4-0. Portugal also finished below Iceland. Result = Easy Wales win |

I do but I don't want Aaron to be part of it.
Well I don't understand why but you obviously have your reasons. I think him not playing though could cost Wales the match. |

Another British sportsman who hates England too. Rory Mcilroy is another. Don't get why English people support them. The English fans at Wimbledon are embarrassing.

Pepe not playing is a blow for Portugal. Everything pointing to a win for Wales except ... Ronaldo has scored 3 hat tricks for his country, all in the past 3 years and it is now 1 year since his last hat trick for Portugal. He's never scored a hat-trick in a tournament ...

"It's the first semi-final of Euro 2016, it's Portugal versus Wales..."
Doesn't quite ring true, does it? |

I was cheering Wales on until they start all the anti-English stuff. So were most of my mates. Now many of us want them to lose so we can revel in their misery just like the Welsh revelled in ours.

Why are both teams playing in their change kit?
Oh, I know - Portugal's red isn't a light colour to oppose Wales's dark shirts. |
