Semi-Final: Germany vs France - (7/7/16) KO 8pm, BBC1/HD
Coverage of the game will also be on talkSPORT, BBC Radio 5 Live and on the BBC Sport website and App.
The nations have met 27 times, Germany recording 9 wins to France's 12. Their 4 games at final tournaments have ended in one 1 for France, a draw and 2 German victories. Germany have now won 14 of their last 18 games at major tournaments, drawing 3 and losing only once. They have reached the semi-finals in each of their last 6 major tournaments, the longest ever run for a European team. The Germans have also kept the most clean sheets at Euro 2016 (4 in 5 games) and the only goal they've conceded was a penalty against Italy. France are unbeaten in 9 games (W8 D1), their 0-0 draw against Switzerland in the group stage having ended a 6-match winning streak. Their record in Marseille is W7 D3 L4; they also played their semi-final at the Stade Vélodrome during the 1984 European Championship, beating Portugal 3-2 before going on to win the tournament. They have never kept a clean sheet in their 4 meetings with Germany at major finals tournaments. |

I'm really looking forward to this game tonight. It's a genuine 50-50 for me. France perhaps edge it going forward, but Germany are undoubtedly better defensively and have the best shot stopper in the world. It's just ashame this couldn't be the final.

I fancy France to win this one. Hard to ever bet against the Germans but without Gomez, their only out-and-out striker, they are missing a link. Take out Hummels in defence, put them against the hosts, and you have the "perfect storm" needed to stop them.

The stage is set for Portugal. Beating France in the final is their revenge for the 2000 semi-final they ballsed up with the handball and then battering the ref, and by boring the hosts to sleep they can exorcise the demons of Greece in 2004 in one go too. After that, Pepe and Bruno Alves will join the wrestling as a tag team or something

This match is at least as difficult to predict as Italy v Germany.. Xela has persuaded me to go for France, as I have seen enough of Schweinsteiger this season to believe his best is behind him (and what a howler of a penalty he produced against Italy).
Fingers crossed it is a memorable match. The tournament badly needs a lift in quality. |

Spoken by a true Untied fan?Unfortunately, the bastard always manages to raise his game for Germany, especially in these important games (bar his crazy penalty, although I must say most Bayern/ex-Bayern players are pretty terrible at penalties nowadays) |

This one could go either way. My head says France, my heart says Germany. I think going forward France are better.
As long as it's not 0-0 all the way to penalties I'm fine with it. An early goal by any team should wake the other up. Other wise we'll have the, feeling each other out period, which can last ages. |

Unfortunately for France, Schweinsteiger is fit to start and the old man always steps it up in big games

Firstly I'm glad to hear that NiteOwl12 has been untied. Why was he tied up in the first place? Or should I not ask?
![]() It's got to be Germany. They always seem to pull something out of the hat even when things aren't going their way. I fear, though, that this will be one of those games where both sides cancel each other out. Hope I'm wrong. |

Pens, which will lead to a Germany victory, that is what I think will happen.

Who on Earth is doing this godawful version of 'Wicked Game', over the Wales highlights?
The Chris Isaak original is sublime, but this is murder! |
