Hard to believe.

I remember watching Top of the Pops every week while Wannabe was number one (I'm sure I watched it most weeks but that sticks out). Me and my sisters would sing and dance along, must have driven my parents crazy

I always preferred All Saints but then I'm dead cool and with it

Would they now be known as Old Spice?

Hard to believe we're closer to 2030 than 2000

But All Saints has that horrible cover of Under The Bridge I will love Never Ever, Pure Shores and Black Coffee forever though.

The Spice Girls brought out some, in my opinion, good songs. I thought, and still do, that Wannabe was a great catchy track. I loved listening to some of their songs back then, and still do now. They might have been a 'cheesy' girl group but I loved some of their songs.

I was a bigger fan of S Club 7's slower songs.

I remember it well. I was 9/10 when they burst into the scene and every girl in my class was obsessed. I loved them, I don't think I'd see them in a reunion though.

I loved them back in 96.

Their single run from Wannabe until Goodbye was literally the most perfect run of singles from a girlband IMHO.

Where does time go?

The Spice Girls are remarkable, Mel C is a very talented seasoned vocalist who can rival the likes of Mariah and Whitney. This was the best song of 1999 by a country mile

Their replacement, Girls Aloud, were also great!

I remember hearing Wannabe for the first time on Piccadilly Key 103 one afternoon after school and within seconds of the song starting, it just grabbed my attention.

Problem was, the song just started as the previous song ended so there was no DJ introducing the song. I was listening to the whole "i tell you what I want, what I really really want" bit and thought it was Salt N' Pepa but by the first chorus I was thinking "nah, Salt N' Pepa don't sound like this".

Basically, I thought Spice Girls were American without seeing them or knowing what the group was called. Then I saw the music video on The Chart Show when it entered the charts and that was when I finally discovered what the group were called.

Wannabe, love it or hate it, is one of the most defining moments of 90s pop.

Why didn't you just google the lyrics?

Because it was 1996, possibly? We didn't just "Google lyrics". You waited til it came on the Chart show or TOTP or on the radio and then hoped they would be back-announced.

Still my favourite (Girl) Group of all time, I remember when they first appeared on Surprise Surprise (on the 11th of May 1996) I was an instant fan:

I loved all their songs with Viva Forever being my favourite and I also remember going to the concert at Wembley (in 1998) as well which was brilliant.

COMFIRMED Spice Girls reunion without Mel C and Victoria.

Honestly, I really liked them back in the 90s and I also thought they released some nice catchy songs. But I feel some things are best left in the past, especially as there are only the three of them. I also think they will struggle without the Mel C's vocals, as it's been known for years that her and Emma held the group together vocally.
