Deana wasn't the only one criticised (Lydia and perhaps others were as well), but Deana was the only one who failed the task. (Wikipedia's bb13 page confirms that. "All housemates consumed their meals except for Deana".)
Ah! But why did that bother them, since the only consequence was that Deana wasn't eligible for the 'prize'?
Since I explained this a while back, I can (sorry) just cut and paste:
The HMs somehow got it into their heads that a great prize was on offer, and that since Deana was the only HM to fail her part of the task, she was responsible for them not getting it. It seemed to start with the way Becky interpreted the task rules as meaning (1) that every HM had to eat to BB's satisfaction, or they'd fail, and (2) that it was meant to be a prize for all of them. Since Deana hadn't eaten to BB's satisfaction, and since the (poor) prize had been for only one of them, it must be (Becky thought) that they'd failed to real task, even though BB said they'd passed. See this clip:
Is it all Deana's fault?

“Also, the day before Arron was evicted, he, Arron, Deana and Becky went in the Diary Room to answer questions put to them by BOTS viewers, (which was something the HMs that were up for eviction did every week). During the entire interview, Conor and Arron were so nasty about Deana and Becky with the things they were saying, the faces they were pulling, the rude hand gestures at them. And throughout this, they were congratulating each other by fist-bumping each other. They were so proud of themselves with what they were doing. Deana got very upset and when she left the Diary Room, she burst into tears. When Conor found out, his reaction was, "Deana's crying? Good!". He knew that he had made her upset, and he didn't care at all.
I can't find clips of either of these examples to link them to my post.”
It wasn't easy, but I have found a clip of the DR one. Here:

It seems to me that Arron is a lot nastier than Conor in that clip.
I haven't been able to confirm that Deana cried because of that DR session or that Conor said "good" about Deana crying. (One post says
otherwise, and no posted a disagreement. That post says it went like this: he said ''is she crying'' and adam said ''no she's furious'' .. and he went ''good''.)

“And another thing worth mentioning - during the next series, at the time Daley had been removed for threatening Hazel, Conor had been getting messages on his Twitter page, (now not available to look at online), commenting on his epilator rant about Deana. And his response was something like, "people are tweeting me about what I said about Deana last year. Well, here's what I'm going to say - £50 grand!"
He was completely unrepentant about his behaviour. He's nothing more than a thug who behaved absolutely appallingly. Never mind the fact that he should have been removed for what he said; he shouldn't have even gone into the house in the first place. Vile excuse for a man.”
Those things can't, however, help explain "why Conor is singled out for hate on this and other forums" because he was already hated before those things happened.
