I can only use wi-fi on my tablet so have only been able to visit the poke spots where there is wi-fi, I had an egg and 6 balls from two of them.
I saw a pokemon in the wild but as I got there the wi-fi cut off. So I went home, used an incense and ended up catching Squirtle, Caterpie, Weedle, Pidgey and Rattata to go with my first pic of Charmander. I haven't levelled up to 5 yet, so no point in me visiting a gym. It is showing a pokemon in the park near me but I already went out today and can't be bothered again. I like it so far though. |

The plus side for playing this game is there will be a lot of people looking like idiots wandering around with their gadgets, as I must have earlier. |

I'm quite tempted to get this.
I'm 30 next week, surely you can never be too old to run around your neighbourhood catching Pokemon ? Edit: OK I don't know about this. It wants me to go outside and walk around with my phone up scanning for them. There are kids outside playing. I can't do that. People will think I'm a paedo. |

This isn't released yet on the UK App Store or Play Store, correct?
I've seen that you can get the apk no problem and get it to work, but does this not create problems when the app updates, as you can't do that through the play store? Don't know if I could be bothered downloading the apk every time they released a new update. |

I have an app called Mondeo that wasn't available through the Play Store and the app just prompts you to update it every now and again. No hassle at all. |

Next time a politician gets caught in a notorious dogging spot at 3am, they can claim they were searching for Pikachu.

I downloaded the APK, when the game drops in the UK I'll just uninstall that and download the official version. Its all sync'ed up to your google account anyway so progress won't be lost.
Passed the 20k distance traveled mark today. Luckily enough there's 6 gyms and around 20 stops that can be seen on the GPS from my house. I don't live anywhere near a big town or city so I'm quite surprised by that. Seems everything is clustered within this small area, then there's virtually nothing if I start traveling beyond what can originally be seen. |

The mobile game is unique since players have to travel to different locations in the real world to catch their new Pokemon, and one of those places was a police station, which caused some issues with the police working there.
Officer: "Can I help you sir?"Civilian: "No thanks, I'm just looking for a Sandshrew!" ![]() Source: http://gosporttimes.com/2016/07/08/n...ool-know-what/ |

I had a little play around with it tonight once the servers let me in. I like it! Wasn't too keen on going into my neighbour's garden (whilst wearing my pyjamas) to catch a Bulbasaur though!

So I found a Bulbasaur in my bedroom, and a worm thingy in my back yard. On the map theres grass rustling in the next estate.
I must bring the dog for more walks, so I can find some more. |

I only got 5 minutes he other day on my trainer account, and haven't been able to log in since. So I got a google account and have been out exploring tonight. There's a converted church at the bottom of my street that's a pokestop, tried my best not to look like a giant weirdo stood in the graveyard under someones window, whilst they were having a party.
The old vicarage across the road is also a pokestop. However, impossible to get to unless I decide to climb the 8 foot wall. |

I used an incense last night but it just kept going back into my items. When I went back on a few minutes later the incense was gone and it wasn't in effect.

The servers are down and have been for hours. Nintendo must be happy, the hoopla for this has been nuts. Basically everyone of my co-workers went outside on their lunch break to catch something at least 30+ people just at my work alone.

Went shopping earlier and whilst waiting with the wife for her parents to pick us up I decided to quickly pop to the nearest pokestop which gave me 3 pokeballs. Noticed a pokemon across the street so went over and caught an eevee, on the drive home ran into a rattata so decided to grab it even though I had one.

So I took the dog for a walk this morning and had the app open, but only caught a Pidgey. Didn't really know if I was missing something.
Then I stumbled across the Nearby icon down the bottom right corner. It shows you what Pokemon are nearby and relative distance is shown in footprints. The closer you get, the less footprints and vice versa. This makes it so much easier. Went out again and caught loads. Top tip: You cannot catch your dog in a Poke ball |

Went out again but caught nothing. Someone has already got their name on the gyms here, both by the same person, meanwhile I am at level 3.

How much mobile data does it eat? I don't have unlimited mobile data so haven't really left my own wi-fi zone yet, lol.
