Not me, this game is for children....why are adults playing it? For the grown ups, you must have more important things to be doing?

I went into the pub last night and told them I was looking for a jigglypuff.
Haven't found any in the hospital yet. |

No, but in all seriousness, adults playing this, one of thousands of games already played by adults everyday, is no reason to sneer and belittle. Almost any hobby you care to name could be sneered at and belittled in exactly the same way. Does it make the attacker correct? No, it just makes them look a miserable sod.

The app isn't compatible with either my phone or my tablet. 😒
Need to investigate the possibility of sideloading. |

Is this game genuinely groundbreaking? Like 3D TVs?

3D TVs are limited I grant you. Never has really taken off but this tech can be used in a wider context/scenarios. My thoughts anyway, you may have a different view. 4K will turn out to be even more useless than 3D. |

So apart from giving me time off from all the soul destroying grown up crap I have to deal with each and every day, sharing fun time with my daughter is important. So all the miserable curmudgeons can bugger off and do "proper grown up hobbies" like buying overpriced football shirts to show their love of overpriced primadonna footballers.

I have to confess my own weakness here - I have one of those 'collection-tending' type apps though in my defence it does have the benefit of getting me out and about as you have to go and fetch things to put in it - some change over time and last only a few days, other things stay for as much as a week before disappearing, and you have to figure out how to make everything fit into it if you unexpectedly end up with a haul of big items because you can't ditch any of them.
And it's one of those you can't switch off or you lose everything

I heard on the radio earlier someone saying they'd gone on a Pokemon Go date instead of doing the usual stuff you do on dates, which I thought sounded a really fun thing to do. I think I'd marry the woman who suggested something like that to me on a date, but then I'd also marry someone who took up my challenge of re-enacting the Battle of Britain just making aeroplane noises and using our arms, especially if they did accents as well. I have no time for people who are serious all the time. |

This craze isn't compatible with my ability to think. Just more people walking around as advertising boards for big business.

Unless there is some low resource setting I'm missing, I don't think my phone 📱 is quite up to this game. 😠

Can someone please tell me who decides where the Pokemon appear, is it random for each player?
If my friend and I both go to the same location will we both find the same Pokemon? |

some people are acting very ignorant with this craze
I was shooting a wedding yesterday at the rear of the church and during the vows there were people playing on this game commenting "have you got it?, have you got it?" loud enough for the mother of the bride to hear then to top it all a couple walked out during the service to go and find a Pokemon!!!! these were people who were in their 30s IMO some people need to grow up |

I don't play it but my son has been playing it for over a week and I think he has 40+. At least he did have when I asked him yesterday or the day before, so he's probably got a few more now.

It's cruel to keep animals in captivity and abuse them too.

Hhmmm.. at 46, should I "grow up" and insert a big stick up my arse because being a grown up is SERIOUS BUSINESS *stern face* or should I lighten up a bit and enjoy some silliness every now and again?
decisions, decisions ... |

So, having got out of hospital, I went down to the local boxing gym and told them there were a Mankey, a Krabby and a couple of Squirtles in there.
This game is pretty dangerous. |

∆∆ No idea who decides. Good question tho.
Just had another walk around town. I am now gym leader in 4 of the gyms. Woop. Have about 200 Pokeballs now but desperately need potions and revives. |

Currently level 19. Surprised I'm this high level since there's not much in my area, lol. The Pidgey farm is real though.
Managed to catch a 400 cp Clefairy and evolved it into a near 900 cp Clefable. Powered it up a bit with dust and currently sitting at nearly 1200 cp. Quite happy since I've not run into any really decent Pokemon around here. Going to try and take over the two gyms in my area later, which are currently owned by Valor.I also managed to catch a Krabby and evolved it into a Kingler earlier. Glad I managed to get my favourite Gen 1 Pokemon.

If my friend and I both go to the same location will we both find the same Pokemon? We both had the same common crap like Ratatta and Pigey but i had Squirtle and he had Oddish. |
