Finally went back out and took out the gym - only to find I'd ALREADY been beaten before I'd even got home

Did you collect your reward? Always remember to go to the shop and collect your reward for having a pokemon in a gym!

That's freaking insane, it's not even a legendary, from what I hear eevees are common for most people (not me though), crazy to see a guy literally abandoned his RUNNING car in the middle of the road to get a Vaporeon with all those other people, though have to say, would love to be in a massive Pokemon Go gathering like this, would be so much fun

There's nothing wrong with playing PC / Xbox games or even apps and puzzles, I just think it's a bit weird for adults to play cartoon games like Pokemon and for it to be a big craze all of a sudden where everyone must go mad for it.
I agree. I don't wanna spoil the fun for anyone but I really can't for the life of me understand how grown men are going crazy over this... nostalgia doesn't cut it for me. I grew up when the Pokemon craze was higher than ever in the late 90s and I loved it back then.

For me to have anything to do with it as an adult though, something would have to go seriously, seriously wrong in my life.

I posted about that in the thread about this in gaming (or the other one in GD ). Seems like quite a shrewd move really because he's got companies offering to sponsor him now so he can basically bum around the country for free.

I was a little too old to get into Pokemon and so I haven't been swept up in the craze. I think it's cool that people are out walking around, socializing and seeing their neighborhoods. Seems pretty harmless and fun.

Although I can't think of many other things more tedious, at the same time I don't feel the need to give a snobbish judgmental reply solely to make myself feel more superior than someone because I have a humongous tree branch lodged up my ass.

I know what you mean, it's like those grown ups who fanatically follow a football team and chat about it in forums as if they, as supporters, have any effect at all into how their team plays. They even say things like "good result for us". I mean "us"! as if they were there on the pitch, seriously screwed up thinking there in my opinion.

I mean it's not as bad in my opinion as adults setting aside time in their week, time when they could be doing something important, to watch a soap like Eastenders and then spend even more important time discussing the rediculous plots!

I think we can all agree that some adults are just weird and he's left to wallow in their weirdness 😄

Pretty well said. Not a massive fan even first time round so I'm not too bothered about not being able to play it but each to their own.

(I did start all out wars with my siblings during mini games in Pokemon Stadium though).

I've caught over thirty but have sent some weaker ones back to the Professor to get the evolution candy. Looks like Zubat > Golbat will be my first evolution, and I've done four of the five kilometres needed to hatch my first egg.

This game will be great for heavier kids and people, you can't do much without moving.

To choose what you want your Eevee to evolve into give it a nickname. "Sparky" gives you Jolteon, "Pyro" gives Flareon, "Rainer" gives Vaporeon.

This game Omanyte appeared in the fountain of my local park and while it's not rare, it's definitely not something you find everyday and then like, i don't know, about 30 people basically appeared out of nowhere. Quit a few of us stayed around and chatted.

So do you do anything for fun?

Because judging by your post you think being invested in anything be it a game, sport or TV series is immature. Which is just a horrible way to look at life really.

What do actually do in your spare time?

AAGGHH. I didn't know. I thought you had to leave the Pokemon in the gym for like a day to be able to get anything.

Nope, can do it straight away, not sure how often it refreshes!

So glitchy and buggy today, gym battles dropping out, lost 4 pokemon as the screen froze as soon as they went in the ball. Screen locking up too!

Got me a hitmonlee though!
