Servers have been down for me all day and most of yesterday, which is annoying as I was in Portsmouth which seems like a haven for electric Pokemon and I was close to getting my first Picachu when the servers died.
Same here

This website lists the status of the severs

I was out in the sticks this weekend and there were no pokemon about. Back home now though, went for a walk and came back with a Seel, a Dratini, a Cuebone and a Bellsprout. Ended up speaking to loads of strangers in the park today.

I'm only 700m off hatching a 10km egg, so I'm off out for a walk soon.
So jealous, been after one of those for days, only had one appear but it was forever 3 steps away and couldn't find it in time before it vanished again

Alas my childhood days are behind me, but good luck to those playing. I understand you've got to find cartoon creatures?

I've downloaded it but my phone is old and the battery is rubbish so can't really play it. Went to a picnic today though and friends and boyfriend were playing it.

I hunted for geocaches while they hunted Pokemon

Definitely not just for childhood, the group I was with today were aged 26-34. Just a bit of fun to add to a nice day out and walk

Walked to the end of the street onto the local Uni's campus and sat in the cool. Servers kept disconnecting me, but with a lure on a Pokestop, managed to get 3 Magikarp, a few psyducks and a goldeen (not too bad, I'd say, considering I spent about half the time trying to reconnect...). Saw 2 Paras', but it kept disconnecting when trying to catch it

Now Pokemon Go has logged me out of the servers and won't let me log back in through Google

I installed it earlier in the week but I've yet to give it a proper go. Maybe a good excuse to fire it up later.

It's definitely getting people out and about. This afternoon when I went to the shop there are lots of people walking around with their phones most were probably 16 - 40.

How do you know you're close to catching a Pikachu? All I get here are electric ones. Fed up of them frankly haha.

Remember when happy slapping became a trend? Well this is no different. People are only playing this because its a craze not because they love it.

Are there any benefits by logging in with a trainer club id over a google one?

There's Poke Radar app in the AppStore with Pokemon locations, some I think are a bit suspect as the ones near me seem to of been submitted by the same person.
My boys trying to get me to go for a drive later to look for Pikachu Lol.

But Candy Crush etc are fine for adults?
Good point, CC was ubiquitous for MONTHS. Pokemon Go can be played by kids, but having an adult's capacity for long-term strategy is a big help. It's universal. *shrug*

I don't see the appeal myself but my 26 year old son is quite interested, although he has been working long hours recently so hasn't got very involved yet. I do think it's a good way to get people out and about and if my kids were young it's the sort of thing we could do together.

All of those catches are rare for me sans Seel, and even that is uncommon. Dratini eventually becomes a real powerhouse. Jynx is also pretty awesome, belonging to the Ice type which is rarest. I have tonnes of Drowzee, so Hypno will be my main for the time being.

I'd like to know this too - it refuses to work for me as it fails to recognise my password, despite the fact that I changed it last night (same on my PC) and the Trainer Club website isn't allowing me to go on 'Forgotten Password'. Might have to just try Google later and see if that works.

The servers have been better today than they were yesterday for me. I even managed to hit a few Pokestops while a passenger in a moving car this morning – there are quite a few Pokestops in the centre of nearby roundabouts!

Twice I had Picachu show up on my near footsteps radar, 3 steps away and then 2. And then server died

So do you do anything for fun?

Because judging by your post you think being invested in anything be it a game, sport or TV series is immature. Which is just a horrible way to look at life really.

What do actually do in your spare time?
1. Look at my earlier post in this very thread.
2. Look at the posting history of the user I quoted.
3. Read what I posted again.
4. Think about what you said...😄

For being a stuck-up misery guts with no tolerance for perfectly harmless pastimes? Agreed!
Seriously?

Did we have a referendum to leave sarcasm when I wasn't looking? Sarcexit?
