Adults watching football and Eastenders just can't be put on the same level as adults playing Pokemon. Pokemon is meant for kids. It's not all that far off from grown men watching Teletubbies before bedtime and citing nostalgia as his reasons imo.
They can. Firstly I haven't been surrounded by people giving a damn about football since I was in primary school. Little kids collecting and swapping Paninni stickers, wearing football shirts with their idol's names on the back, calling other team supporters childish names. No one I have spent time with in 30 years has given a hoot about all that so for me following a football team is very much a childish activity.

And you want to talk about having something seriously wrong with their life? Anyone who wants to interupt quality family fun time on Christmas Day to watch a soap to see someone murdered, burnt alive, raped, run over by a speeding tram, killed by a parachuting bull, get divorced, murder someone and so on and so on. That's someone who needs to have a word with themselves.

Getting annoyed with the unreliability of the app so far, I was in the middle of catching a wild Jynx (my favourite pokemon) and it crashed on me!

I downloaded the app earlier this evening just to see what all the fuss was about.

Managed to catch one pokemon in this very room I'm in now but that was in between GPS cutouts from both devices I use. And apparently the servers have been hacked so getting access to the game is tricky. Hmmm.

Yeah the servers were hacked but we also need to remember its a very small team who work at Niantic (11-50 according to LinkedIn compared to 1001-5000 in the company that own Candy Crush).

I'm getting incredibly frustrated as well, (I messaged my sisters earlier to say Pokemon Go will be an excellent game once the servers are sorted) but I keep telling myself they'll be doing the best they can. Dealing with major server issues while in the middle of a global roll out must be a nightmare.

Just caught my second one.

And spotted my nearest pokeshop is the village parish noticeboard

Best played on smartphones obviously but I can see the hype in the game when the bugs and server problems sort themselves out

I downloaded it, found one in my living room, uninstalled the app and went for a walk.

But, you know, whatever lights your candle.

I was thinking about downloading the app just to see what all the fuss was about. But then somebody told me that it's a bit of a buggy mess at the moment with security issues.
I think I'll wait until everything's sorted out.

Had a walk around town for a little over an hour. Caught 16 Pokemon (I used an incense) but 14 of them were Pidgeys, Ratattas, or Weedles.

The game was very unstable. A lot of crashes.

Catching Pidgey seems to cause crashes for me, more so than other pokés. My only viable water poke seems to be Krabby/Kingler at the mo, haven't got multiple catches of any other water type.

Off with kids later to have a wander to see what we can find. There is a pokestop nearby at the old cottage hospital, so we're going to wander and see what that is all about. My eldest has been collecting the cards recently so I'm hoping she'll help us out! Went to Twycross zoo last week, there were loads There! Got some funny screens shots of them in with the monkeys.

I've got a little 10CP Magikarp flopping around at the bottom of my collection 399 to catch before I can evolve it

A hacking group is saying it's responsible for that http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...-a7140811.html

"Just was a lil test, we will do something on a larger scale soon," said the post by user XO.

Thinking they are a 'hacking' group by DDOS'ing?? Hahahahahahaha, I could DDOS a server, idiots.
