Just got back from a walk. Got an Machop, 2 Belsprouts (one from an egg), a Voltorb, a Dratini (egg), a 2nd Electrabuz and eventually a Paras (I've seen like 4-5, but every single time I've tried to catch my game freezes, so I was never able to catch it!). Also eventually had enough candy to get a Hypno and a Nidorina.
Also saw a Kingler, Persian, Haunter and a Vulpix on the nearby section throughout the day, but wasn't able to catch them ![]() Not bad! Probably my best day for catching new pokemon since release day. |

I am no good at dodging, just seems to take up time I could be attacking!
Tried the dodge when you see the start of the attack technique and get hit regardless. |

Electricity beats Flying and Water. Fire beats Grass, Bug and Ice. Grass beats Water, Ground and Rock. Psychic beats Fighting and Poison. Poison beats Grass. Ice beats Grass, Ground, Flying and Dragon. Flying beats Grass, Bug and Fighting. Rock beats Fire, Ice, Flying and Bug. Ground beats Fire, Electricity, Poison and Rock. Normal beats nothing. Fighting beats Normal, Ice and Rock. Bug beats Grass and Psychic. Dragon beats Dragon. I think that's all the types from Gen 1, pretty hard to keep track. |

I'm having some issues with the game being weird. Reinstalled it twice already. Once because it wasn't updating anything. No new pokemon showing up, my journal blanked and unable to access certain menus. Second time to reinstall was because of sound issues.
Oh and I named my starter Charmander, Bob. |

Seriously going through pokeballs now i'm level 14 and there's very few potions being released from pokestops!
Gym battling will have to stop! Hatched a geodude today though! |

...so, turns out that Jolteon that I thought had a CP of 300 was actually 600. I got owned. I did find an empty gym earlier too, so claimed it; that didn't last long.
![]() Curious, but when a Pokémon is defeated from the gym and returned to you, are we required to revive/restore it or will it eventually heal itself? Are potions/revives simply a quicker way of having a Pokémon at full health, or are potions/revives actually needed else said Pokémon stays dead? |

I'm struggling to play this with a limited data plan. I've got 200 pokeballs now because I hit a pokestop using the wifi in the hospital waiting room for 2 hours but using incense got me a grand total of 0 Pokemon! Grrr.

It was not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S3 but today I got a J3 (6) and I'm wondering if the app will work on that.

What happens if 2 players try to capture the same pokemon? Can they both nab it or does it disappear for the slower player? Quote:

Managed to catch a Starmie, Haunter, Abra, Slowpoke and Magikarp tonight which were all new additions to the Pokédex so all great
![]() But then the amount of Rattata and Pidgey caused me to run out of Pokéballs, at which point both Nidorans, Eevee and Psyduck all appeared, none of which are on my Pokédex and none of which I was able to catch, was pretty depressing having to just walk away from them. I did try to make a play for the male Nidoran as it was pretty much on top of a Pokéstop but unfortunately the Pokéstop didn't give me any Pokéballs, only gave me an egg, a Razz Berry and 2 Revives. Ah well, now I know to preserve Pokéballs in case something good and new comes along. |

Update on my haul of Pokes (arranged in order of highest CP to lowest):
Spoiler
I did conquer a Gym earlier, but looks like Instinct are on the prowl in my area (I'm Mystic, kinda have to be with my forum name!) so may need to find some teammates to beat it again. |

Gym battling will have to stop! Hatched a geodude today though! Valor are really strong in my area. My nearest gyms are in a large park. Valor's at the entrance is rock solid but I've managed to take over the gym further in. Three Valor guys beat me this morning, but I came back later and left Hypno. Then two Instincts turned up, destroyed them and now Scyther is in overnight (if I'm lucky)! No battles for a bit for me too. |

It was lashing rain last night so I just took a drive around town to collect some Pokeballs. But as I approached town, I noticed 3 lures on the Main Street. Parked at one where there was a few cars with everyone looking at their phones and there was an ATM cubby hole with about 10 people huddled in it trying to stay dry. Then 2 Polish people came over to my car and we were just chatting for the next 20 minutes. Didn't catch anything significant but did get to level 15 and got my Eevee evolved into a Flareon. 3 more lures were set off after that around the town so it was a good night for catching Pidgeys and Rattatas.
