I SWEAR Zubat is a Bitch to actually catch. I've wasted soooo many Pokeballs on trying to tag that little bastard and his cousins. I had enough of them to get the transfers and then enough of those tokens to evolve to a Golbat, but think I'd done with Zubat's for the time being. They're not worth the effort.

I'm having issues catching an Abra. I've only come across 4 since playing and every time they've run away after one ball is thrown at them.
With that being said, I've not had a single Pokémon (Abra or otherwise) actually run away from me yet. They've all been rather patient. |

Loads more pokemon run away from me (Level 14 now). I had a weedle do it! I didn't think they could actually "run" lol. Poliwhirl seems to be the worst; i've tried to capture it 5 times but only managed it twice
Yeah my man usually goes walkies when i'm in my lounge; definitely helps clocking up the KMs on the egg! I haven't had a 10k egg in a while now. My 2 5ks today gave me goldeen and shelder, already got them but pushes them closer to evolution I guess. |

Got an app called PokeNotify which tells me when Pokemon spawn and where specifically they are, a neat little work around for the whole 3 footprint glitch.
Within 10 minutes it let me know there was a Nidorino nearby so I went out and sure enough there it was, was my first Nidorino and the whole Nidoran line is one of my favourites of all time, with Nidoking being my personal favourite Pokemon ever, so that's a massive win for me

I seem to consistently be picking up new creatures every day on my walk to town.
Got an Electabuzz today. He looks like he can handle himself in a fight. Haven't seen it mentioned here so maybe its a rare one

Saw a Ninetails on my map. It was down on that list of close pokemon so it was probably far away. Couldn't find it no matter which direction i went. Ran into about 10 other people looking for it too

Good day for me so far. Caught a Psyduck, Slowpoke, Tentacool, Poliwag, and evolved my Pidgeotto to a Pidgeot.
Saw a Weepingbell and a Meowth but both escaped. |

Daughter now into this.
On the map you see leaves spraying up. Is this where pokemon potentially are ? |

Been after him for days, he shows up on my radar every now and then but he's incredibly hard to actually encounter
![]() It was my highest CP pokemon until I evolved a Drowzee into a 902CP Hypno.

Hi , I am playing this game and loving it but I went to Battersea park yesterday and considering every blade of grass was moving not many actually came out to play.
Also when you are near one and it pops up with the arrows what does it mean as we kept walking around and around trying to get one to come out and nothing. Yet I thought the arrows where pointing us in that direction ? |

Caught a Weedle, Caterpie, Magnemite and another Horsea today
I also know that Psyduck appears often in my area but I don't have my data yet to go explore for him. There is also a Shellder somewhere abouts. Once I get that going I'm going to start hunting down pokemon outside my local college |

Rarer ones will appear as you level up I think. |

Hatching eggs will save you if your local pokes are a bit samey. My first 10k was Electabuzz, and that really helped with the water types around here. Its faster attack is Low Kick, so the Lapras have been buggered.

I recall reaching level 12 was nice, things ramp up a bit between 12-14. You can see some tips upthread about getting your avatar to "walk" at home.
![]() ![]() If you go out at night do you get different ones than during the day ? My 10k egg was Kabuto so it was at least new for me

Actually I caught my Koffing in a housing estate too.
I swear this game is a bit psychic, I was complaining to my sister about how even though I walk past 3 lakes every day to work I never see a water pokemon then 3 turned up at my house the next day

Can everyone catch the same Pokemon or if someone catches it before you has it gone?

Level 16 now, caught a Venomoth, a 935 Hypnodisc, evolved a Butterfree, hatched a Chansey from a 10k egg today (walked the whole 10k) and got my Flameon upto 1025hp.

My 10k egg was Kabuto so it was at least new for me ![]() More likely to get ghost pokemon, electric and some bug ones I hadn't even had a venonat, though on a walk at 11ish I see this large insect thing close by on the GPS; thought it was a beedrill but turned out to be a venomoth, which in the pokedex says they ONLY come out at night and only near illuminated places. That was at 650CP too. I need 10k eggs. I only have 1 use left of the incubator; can you obtain further ones at the pokestops? Or can you delete the 2k eggs if your egg basket is full with 9? |

I don't think the game would be tossing 10k eggs at players randomly, as they're valuable and too much variation would give a bit of an unfair advantage somewhere along the line. Going by posts elsewhere, it seems most people have a similar time with egg distribution, though obviously not with what they hatch. Hitmonchan popped from my newest and only 10k. |
