This list is for Pokémon near by which seemed to have a specific spawn point or general area, not for Pokémon like Rattata or Drowzee which you stumble across just walking down any street within a 100 mile radius.

I was pretty happy to catch a Squirtle yesterday! Haven't been able to get many new pokemon through catching them in the wild recently. Mostly been increasing my Pokedex through eggs and evolving.

A lot more Meowths seem to be coming up on my radar though but haven't been able to catch one yet.

Meowth is pretty weak in terms of being able to defend itself, but an evolved Persian with dark-type moves can flush out ghost-types with ease. <3

I sacrificed getting a second Porygon to go catch a Dratini which I didn't have. Was that a good decision?

Undoubtedly. Once you have Porygon in your pokédex that's all you need. Don't need a second one because (at the moment) you can't evolve him so there's no need for his candy. Plus Porygon isn't particularly useful in combat when you could have much more powerful Pokémon in your party... Dragonair is more powerful than Porygon, let alone Dragonite.

A new update is rolling out later today which fixes the 3 step glitch!!!!

...By getting rid of the 3 steps entirely and just not having any indicator of when you're getting closer to a specific Pokémon

But they're putting trainer customization in so that's good?

Am level 16 and now have enough catches to evolve Nidoran(m), Shelder and Horsea but shall i wait till i catch a higher CP of the current 3 to try and ensure they are over 1000CP. At the moment their CP's are:
Nidoran 244
Shelder 248
Horsea 278

And for the poster discussing the available pokemon supposedly there is a cheat in the game which means you can get ditto; if you get a pikachu initially (when you walk away from the 3 starter ones and are finally offered pikachu by professor oak) then nickname it "Ditto" then the next time you login you will have a ditto in your pokedex that looks like pikachu but with a ditto face

I'd recommend getting more powerful ones, if you're level 16, I'd aim for at least 3200 CP of each, though your Nidoran may be good to go.

As for Ditto, that sounds like BS up there with "There's a Mew under the truck in Pokémon Red and Blue". I just can't imagine Niantic would make a game where the goal is "Gotta Catch 'Em All!" only to then lock out 1 specific Pokémon if you don't do something obscure right at the very start of the game. It just doesn't sound true, plus surely some evidence of this would have surfaced by now if it was genuine.

I seem to have a weird glitch in my game, I caught my first Grimer earlier and whenever I try to look a it on the pokedex my game freezes and crashes not the end of the world obviously but very odd.

Just caught one in my living room

Up to level 13 now but really struggling to find new Pokemon. I've been travelling loads and going for long walks, but all I ever seem to find are Weedles, Pidgeys, Rattatas and Drowzees everywhere.

Heading down to the south coast today so hoping to catch some new ones at the beach.

Good I was worried I made a wrong decision. Porygon is cute but I did need that Dratini.

So instead of fixing these, they simply remove them

I like the fact that you can change your avatar with the new update. Disappointed with them removing the steps though, instead of just fixing it. Going to be so much harder to track Pokemon now. :/

Is there still a problem logging in? I updated the game last night then it asked me to log in this morning and I can't. I'm almost sure I'm using the right user name but no joy

I'm guessing they just took the footsteps out for now while they try to fix it.

It asked me to log into Google after updating (about 5 minutes after) but I was able to log in okay.

My game reset it's self so back to square one

I have tried every trick under the sun and it is still back to level 1 . So that was a kick in the teeth.
