What are they?
No different CP or moves IV'S just a cool thing to have if you find one. In the normal games they are very very rare chances of finding one was 1 in every 8192. http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/...20140831202251 |

No luck with the new eggs I had today, walked about 10k to work and back and at lunch but no joy yet. I suspect now that the Professor has discovered these eggs that he'll discover some new wild pokemon roaming free in the next few weeks.
I saw one Christmas Pikachu this morning but it was off the route to work so didn't go after him. I am probably wrong but considering the hype Niantic put out about the 12 December announcement surely there is something else to come before the end of the year and a proper Christmas event considering they did Halloween and Thanksgiving as otherwise they've pretty much shot themselves in the foot and undone all the good work they have done so far. |

None of my eggs have hatched into anything decent - although is the possibility of hatching the new pokemon only from any new eggs you pick up - rather than ones you have had waiting?
Picked up 3 Santa Pikachus so far today, they seem far more common than the none hat wearing ones. I had had Pikachu as my buddy for ages so they helped me evolve him finally! |

Some people have done some testing and found the egg is determined the moment you get it so only eggs found since the new ones went live can be babies.

The Baby Eggs are.
2KM Cleffa and Igglybuff 5KM Pichu and Togepi 10KM Elekid, Magby and Smoochum. Tyrogue is either not in the game yet or nobody has found one. |

Got Cleffa, Togepi and Christmas Pikachu over the past few days.
I've also evolved the Pikachu into Christmas Raichu - supposedly they will keep their hats after the Christmas period is over. Also, it may just be a one-off rather than something going on but up until a few days ago I had never caught any Pokemon around home - (we live away from the road down a small track about 50 metres from the road), but suddenly we appear to have two spawning points in our garden - had Nidorans, Ratattas, Venonat, Weedle and Pidgeys from one and the second one has so far had Rhydon, Pidgey and Eevees. I'm now also seeing Ponyta, Christmas Pikachu, Psyduck and Bulbasaur show up as near by as well which considering it's not a particularly built up area - we have an old vinary and working quarry one side of us and a huge field the otherside of the road which two small estates back onto seems pretty random as to why these Pokemon are all appearing unless something has changed in the game. |

Allegedly someone has already evolved Togepi into Togetic unsure if it's true or not.

My Togepi came with 21 candies - you need 50 to evolve it so it's quite likely if someone has had 2 or 3 hatch that they have evolved it.

(https://thesilphroad.com/atlas) I have seen them popping up quite a bit everywhere, though - I went to Green Park the other day to collect Mankey since there's a huge nest of them there at the moment and I caught quite a few Pikachu there too.

Gave it up for a few weeks, I reached 114 in my pokedex and it was becoming a walk fest. Since they have changed the nests and spawns I've become more bothered, it's making completing more likely. Don't bother with gyms, they just consume too much time and battery for too little benefit

Does everyone know about the Christmas event.
On your first Pokestop spin you get a free 1 use incubator for the next 7 days (It was 10 but 2 days have already gone) |

I'm afraid all the latest updates have killed it for me. I live miles (literally) from the nearest pokestop, and with my work the same thing applies.
I used to be guaranteed semi-regular spawns of Pokemon around my house and the general area where I live but since the tracking update that no longer happens - they now only spawn at the nearest Pokestop which is miles away. Hatching eggs is a bust as well - an update a few months back screwed it up for me and only about half of my steps have been counted since then. Unfortunately it's very much become a game for the city dweller. |

I, too, have evolved my Christmas Pikachu into a Christmas Raichu, after not having a single Pikachu until this event began.

I'm just waiting to evolve it just in case I find a better one before the event is over. |

Gone from no Pikachu's at all to enough to evolve 2 Rychu's
Not doing to bad with the increased starter Pokemon either. |
