There's a thread in Gaming for this. I have 32 different Pokemon to answer your question.

Does the distance it takes to hatch an egg correspond to the type of Pokemon you'll get, or the CP of the Pokemon that hatches? Or both.

Because I really want my 10.0 km egg to be an absolute tank.
Yeah, they're pretty beasty. Legendary Pokemon

Me & one of my mates at work have been hooked.
We have a pokestop right outside our work so we can top up pokeballs without leaving our desks!
And someone put a lure out 2 mins away from work so my mate 'went for a wander' and came back 20 mins later all proud of himself. Apparently there was like a group of 5 strangers all huddled together in silence catching pokemon...he just stood in with them lol!

And just now he sat at another lure on his lunch in the little town square, opposite a girl he reckons was playing pokemon too. What he didn't realise till he got up was some woman was watching him because everytime he sw a pokemon he lifted his phone to catch it and looked like he was perving on the girl opposite trying to take a pic!!!

Considering you can be within 20 feet, maybe even more considering I caught a pokemon who was about 50 feet away from me a few times, I don't believe you.

In fact, anyone who says they had to go somewhere strange, under something, into something, are full of shit.

Distance dictates the pokemon inside but your level when getting the egg determines cp.

The app isn't compatible with either my phone or my tablet. 😒

Need to investigate the possibility of sideloading.

I looked at this for about 10 minutes then turned it off. Immediate uninstall; it's not for me.

Annoyingly I have a crap data plan so I'm limited to playing the game when I'm connected to wifi mostly and I also live in a new build house that is not even registered on the map. Nothing around here!

I did however connect to the free wifi at a hospital check up the other day and reaped the rewards of about 10 pokestops in the same area.

Pro's for crashing your car whilst playing Pokémon Go; Tons of Poké stops at the hospitals!

Are you enjoying the latest craze? Have you been out and about more since the game was released?

I had to go into a playground earlier to catch a pidgey and people were looking at me all funny I felt like telling them to mind their own! Then a lady approached me and asked if I was taking photos, but once she saw I was playing the game she gave me a look and went back to her friend. I felt embarrassed to be honest. It was one of those situations where I thought about later what I should have said to her, but at the time I was glad to just get away
how old are you, again?

(shakes head, ... sadly)

Pokemon, like Harry Potter and superhero films are things that seemed to really take off when I was in my late teens/early 20s. I suppose I thought I was too old to get into them so they all passed me by and I've never caught one. Can name and recognise Pikachu but that's the extent of my knowledge of it.

If I'd have been younger when it came out then maybe I'd still be playing today. After all, I still play computer games in general, which is something I started doing as a child. Even been known to play something like Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths in the past couple of years because I used to watch the Mysterious Cities of Gold cartoon as a boy.

None, because I'm not 13 and busy actually working (although right now I am killing time as the guys have all finished for the day).

Do us a favour and step off your horse for just a second, we're feeling a tad inferior.

All the pokemon seem to have gone on holiday today as there are none nearby.
You can use an incense to lure them your way.

I'm sick of the game freezing when catching high xp Pokemon.

Love how people are belittling those that play Pokemon. Have they never played a game? Pokemon, which gets you out and walking, surely has to be better than the likes of candy crush, where you sit on your bum and tap for sweets or whatever.

I have 5. I haven't had chance to play it properly yet though.

I agree it's a good thing to get kids out and exercising, not so much some adults who are losing their jobs because of playing it.

Do I enjoy playing games, yes all the time, mobile and PC.
Do I enjoy the idea of wandering around in public, transfixed to a mobile screen like a brain dead zombie, nope. It's bad enough with facebook addicts etc but this takes it to a whole new level.

It'll only be a matter of time before some poor kid ends up in a river or in-front of a bus, mark my words.

I think you under estimate how many female gamers there are out there. I also think you underestimate how many women grew up watching/playing Pokémon and couldn't be more excited about Pokémon Go.
I still have all the first edition cards.
