Caught a paras, hatched a 91cp pidgey from my 2k egg and put a pokemon in the local gym, a good 45 minutes I think.

I also have an app that gets me out and about. It's called Runkeeper. To occupy myself, iPlayer Radio.
"Oh look at me, I'm so mature, I don't play pokemon go, I just belittle those that do because my life is so pathetic I hate people having fun." |

After hearing of all the blurb about it, I decided to give it a go. I have mixed feelings. Yes, it's novel but I can seem me getting quite bored, quite quickly. The sad thing is I'm a woman in my forties but a geeky one at that. Probably play it for a while. My smartphone was broken (wouldn't read sim card) but will still work on wifi so currently restricted to playing when on wifi only.
I currently have a Squirtle and one I can't remember the name of. Having said that, it has pushed to ordering a new smartphone, which I have needed to do for a while. However I am looking forward to winding people up if they think I am doing something I shouldn't be with my phone when I am out and about. People should be aware though that this app gives the makers of the game a lot of information from your phone. Something to be aware of. |

If you are an adult and are playing this game you need to get a grip, you have had your childhood its just weird that you're playing this.

44. If it wasn't for server issues I'd be a master by now.

It seems for me that when you are travelling in vehicle and get into a fight, the distance travelled whilst fighting registers as walking for the egg.

I live in a small town and today my brother and I headed to our local library which is one of the only Pokestops in our area, my brother had a lure available so he used it and before we knew it, it went from being just us alone there to having over 20 people - kids, teens, adults and even an elderly couple, all sitting by the library swiping pokeballs at pokemon - it was like nothing I'd ever experienced it was so surreal, especially for a town as small as this
There wasn't too much rare stuff that came from that lure but we did manage to all score Hypnos, Horseas, Krabbys, Meowths, a Metapod and a Jynx so that was nice

I went for a drive today and brought my niece along so she could catch some Pokemon and check in at PokeStops. She got about 6 or 7 Pokemon but most were Pidgeys and Zubats, but she did catch a 110CP Onyx. I got so excited.
I stopped off at a gym but couldn't get it to work properly. I was battling another Pokemon and I would bring it's health down to nearly nothing and then no more attacks would have any more effect on it. The timer would run out and I would lose. Any idea what I'm doing wrong ? |

I didn't even know this existed until a friend of mine was glued to his phone the other night, I asked what he was doing and he said "I've just found 3 Pokemon" I'm like whattt?
I called him a sad act... And then downloaded it!

Pretty much never. Peer pressure and following the herd are a terrible weak minded way to coast through life IMHO.

Yeah I was stuck in hospital for the last 3 days so had to rely on nothing but incense to get most of my beginning Pokemon, it should usually net you 4-6 Pokemon per use even if you're staying completely still and not near any spawn points and Pokéstops.

Oh and went for a two hour walk round town there. Didn't mean to but was sitting on my couch and noticed a Pikachu shaped Pokemon nearby. So I grabbed the dog and headed out with phone in hand. About 20 yards from the house Pikachu appeared and I caught him. So happy. But I couldn't just go home after taking the dog out so I decided to go to the park where there was a Pokemon gym. Got there and seen it was controlled by a Flareon with 850CP. It wiped me out no bother to it. Left the park, as there was a Pokestop just up the road, and another Pokestop a little further, and another etc. Until I stumbled on another gym guarded by a 250CP Pokemon. I took him out and took control of the gym. Left my 80CP Nidoran there to guard it (all my stronger ones were dead from the Flareon). Continued walking in circles around town collecting stuff from Pokestops. Found another gym with a 600ish CP Pokemon guarding it. Decided not to battle as I'll come back another day with alive Pokemon. Battery getting low at this point so decided to head home. Picked up about 20 Pokemon along the journey.
What an awesome game ! |
