Most favourite at the top:
1. Steve Owen - I loved how charming and manipulative he was. I don't even see him as a villain, I always felt he played him quite sympathetically, but he definitely had a nasty edge.
2. Matthew Rose - Basically the Steve/Matthew/Saskia murder storyline was the best EE ever was, for me. I will always remember it, and I don't think EE will ever top it.
3. Johnny Carter - I'm sorry, I know he's not important in the history of EE but I adore him, and I hope the writing for him gets better because he has so much potential as a character.
4. Joe Wicks - I found his struggle with schizophrenia so powerful and it really taught me a lot about mental health from a very young age.
5. Tiffany Mitchell - She was so sweet and lovely and her death was beyond shocking. I remember hating Grant for the way he treated her!
6. David Wicks - Brilliant, charismatic and always very believable. I really hope the new producer can tempt him back.
7. Janine Butcher - One of the most complex villains in any soap, past or present.
8. Jamie Mitchell - I can't remember ever bawling so hard at a soap death. Lovely, lovely Jamie.

9. Pat Butcher - Absolutely iconic
10. Sharon Watts - Even though the writing for her at times is patchy, she's still brilliant and camp and EE wouldn't be half as fun without her.
Honorable mentions: Dennis Rickman, Sean Slater, Kat Moon, Dot Cotton, Chrissie Watts, Mel Owen, Frank Butcher
