I'd put money on something like that. It's about Corrie's level at the moment.

Leanne Tilsley is set to have her life turned upside down in coming months when she falls pregnant with Steve McDonald’s baby!
The stunning summer storyline will see Leanne reportedly sleep with Steve as he continues to hurt from his wife Michelle being tempted by her ex Will. With the couple having split in the wake of Michelle’s mistake, Steve will have a one night stand with his neighbour that will have big consequences, according to The Sun.
They claim that sources from the show revealed that Steve will want Leanne to terminate the pregnancy but she will refuse. Given that her chances of conceiving have been low since she took a fall down some stairs in 2011, it is thought that she won’t want to throw away her chance to have a baby.

Steve wants the pregnancy terminated, but Leanne will apparently refuse.

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is to have a one-night stand with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) - and end up expecting his baby!
An upcoming storyline on Coronation Street will see Steve have a bust-up with wife Michelle (Kym Marsh) and then have a drunken fling with Leanne.
Steve's marriage looks set to hit the rocks after he discovers all about Michelle's recent dalliance with her first love Will. But events take an unexpected turn when Steve seeks solace in the arms of Leanne.

A report in today's Sun says: "Steve will be left in a tricky situation when he finds out that Leanne is pregnant - and refuses to have an abortion."
And events look set to get even more complicated when Steve reconciles with Michelle, only for her to decide that she then wants them to have a baby.

I love how they had Leanne and Robert stare at each other in the street, to try and mislead us into thinking they slept with each other.

Only in soaps do women get pregnant in one night stands and realize they're pregnant two weeks later.

In the official ITV spoilers (still under embargo) events suggest very strongly that Steve will not want a termination

I don't understand why they bother with the who's the daddy storyline when they revealed the spoiler about _____. It makes watching the show very anti-climactic.

Isn't the father of the baby supposed to be Steve?

Ahem - see the spoilers in the posts above!

Yes, it's a shame they had to blow this "who's the daddy" plot by giving it away in advance - as they do with practically every plot detail these days *sighs*

This is work related. She should go immediately to that underused clinic for therapy. They'll have her back on her back in no time.

So were we ever privy to or even slightly suggested that the 2 of them even had a drink together, let alone a one-night-stand? The story line is unbelievable to say the least..

Yes. It was a scene the other week where a mystery person came round to her flat, but we only saw Leanne from their point of view, not who they actually were... Later on we saw a shadowy blur as they'd just left.

So the answer is 'no' then

I remember that scene but that does say him - we were supposed to believe it was one of the 3 that left a message on her mobile phone and he wasn't even one of those!

Well, no, the answer is "yes" - clearly that's the scene where we are to assume the "deed" happened. Although it would have been a far better twist if it had all happened off-screen, with no prior knowledge of it on our part...

So from that scene, you assume him Why not Ken, Kirk, Norris or even Billy (thought he'd try a bit of the other ).

I don't understand why they released this as a spoiler, as there have been no actual clues in the show, why not just keep it a secret?

Well, quite; I'd say the same about Friday's big event - imagine how amazing that would have been if it had been kept under wraps - but that's a whole 'nother issue

Leanne and Steve qwould make a much more acceptable couple than him and Meeechelle.
