He was a huge flop, I can't beleive a year of this and we get this bullshit. It's like living in Kirkwood era again!!

DTC had good ideas he was just crap at following through with anything and that's what has damaged his run. I get the impression he's like a hyper child that gets bored easily.

The Gavin plot could have been so much more.

Killi off Aunt Marge was a travesty mind.

I was hoping he would have more scenes with Denny Rickman and I was hoping he would stick around on the square. I feel like Dominic Treadwell - Collins found out he was leaving and he wanted to make sure the next producer had no chance of using him. The same could be said for Magaret Midhurst, the actress was fantastic and could have been an amazing long term character for Sharon Mitchell and Denny to have around... even Kathy Sullivan. Sharons family wasted within a year an she is back to square one on her own once Phil kicks her out (give it a few years.)

I can't believe I fell for the excitement of DTC again. We waited 3 days for crap.

What was the point of Andrew "Buster" Briggs, he should have been killed off and what was the ending about...

Yes it had potential but this was a disgrace, and DTC cannot be happy with this conclusion.

I don't think it is that unusual, for a producer when they leave, to finish off a character, burn a building down etc.

Killing off Leslie Grantham was a shame. A sacking or suspension would have done. However these are the same people that killed off Kathy Sullivan (I know, I know), Pat Evans, Angie Watts and Cindy Beale off screen.

These people need to face the music for there crimes.

Especially when they didn't kill off Peggy Mitchell for Dame Barbara Windsor to say years later "I want Peggy to be killed off. I always liked Pat more.

DTC CHose to leave himself he wasn't sacked or axed. I remember WHen they announced Peggy death back in January DTC Stated he would be gone last summer only for Barbara announed she wanted Peggy Killed off in which he stayed on. If DTC was axed He would have been gone even if Barbara announced her exit.

The whole episode I was praying gavin would come out with I'm not you biological father, I lied. I was like PLEEEEASE IF THERE IS ANY JUSTICE.

And DTC had terrible ideas IMO. The whole Gavin only having Sharon when it was previously established that he already had 2 biological children in South Africa; making him Sharons father and the origin of ello princess - nabbing one of the most iconic lines from one of the most iconic characters. Moronic and unforgivable ideas.

I'm so glad he and gavin are away. I'm just counting my blessings that way.

So is that it now? Gavin who was being hyped as Eastenders most complex villain ever, even more scary than Archie. Thats it? I will be extremely annoyed if he doesnt atleast break out of prison and kill a few other people. He has had a hand full of scenes out of nowhere, was made the dad of one of the biggest characters and all he does is kill a character who wasnt even a regular. I didnt find Gavin scary as in a "hardman" but he did have a really creepy and unpredictable look about him. He had the potential to be a decent character imo

Oh man I Loved Archie Mitchell - he was the perfect soap villain just the right side of the line of hammy pantomime villain but you could genuinely believe he was evil.

Gavin wasn't much better than Nasty Nick.

Let's just be thankful this storyline has finally ended.

It seems like the storyline got cut short.

Last time Margaret appeared, she was planning something huge with Gavin. Since then, Gavin's evil deeds consisted mostly of spooking Claudette and spending time with his grandson. Now suddenly we find out Gavin's gone a bit mad and both of them are gone by the next episode having accomplished nothing. Maybe if they had let his actions speak for themselves instead of constantly telling us how evil and unpredictable he was, it wouldn't have felt so anticlimactic.

It didn't help that they constructed this ridiculous backstory around him in an effort to convince us of his importance. I really hope they just give up this bank heist crap with the Hubbards, Gavin and Eric Mitchell. It's so forced and I just don't give a shit about it anymore.

I'm praying that this is the end of gavin, but has it been confirmed by ee yet that this is the last of him? I wouldn't put it past then to have him miraculously break out of prison and then stay staking Kathy and Sharon all over again. the whole gavin storyline was pathetic. The idea itself wasn't a bad one (apart from him being Sharon's real dad - that was a travesty) but they cast the wrong actor to play him and everything was just downhill from there. What exactly did he do that was so frightening? Held a lighter somewhere near a box of fireworks. That's it. The scariest thing about him was his very dodgy toupee.
