I watched the Welsh homecoming party in Cardiff last night what a wonderful scene and then thought what happened to England's homecoming party. Of course they did not have one what did they have to celebrate. There were the pictures in the paper last week of English players boozing and partying in Ibiza no thank's to their fan's who spent a small fortune to go an watch them.I am glad not to be a England fan and it is nice to see Wales are now above England in FIFA's rankings.

So not a thread about Wales at all then, surprise. If you're not even an England fan, why do you go on about them all the time?

Just giving my opinion as I would do about any football subject.Cannot help it if I am not a big fan of England.I really hoped they would do well but they let down not only England but the UK it'self by their performances especially against Iceland.

Yes, I'm sure Wales, Northern Ireland and particularly Scotland feel let down by England's humiliation.

I am sure a better England performance would not have done any harm considering what is happening politically at the moment.I never thought they would win but a few performances with a bit of spirit and gut.At least the other two home nations and the republic provided that.

I should think us losing to Iceland actually cheered all the other nations (and probably most of Europe) up!

Infact it was probably a dream result for the papers so they could write all the usual clichés and as you say blast the England players for then going on holiday...

Very interested now to see who takes over and what he does who he keeps and who he discards. There are some good players in the England squad without doubt but also there are a few who in my opinion they should discard. Now is the time before the world cup qualifiers start to build a decent team.I would build it around Latchford,Henderson and Lalana and maybe Sturridge.

I'd clear out Phil Jones, Kevin Davies and Alan Thompson

You should have seen the party when England won the World Cup. There was a bottle or two opened

I'd build the team around Latchford. I think if they are to have any success then he must be central to it.

I've often seen players and managers bring their kids onto the pitch to celebrate after a major win

When Gareth Bale's adorable daughter reached up at the camera I remember thinking 'I hope UEFA nail them for this breach of security'

Luckily they did not keep any for the next celebration I think it would be well matured by the time they need it.

I see Piers Morgan is at war with Wales over the homecoming :

He's put up numerous tweets in the last few days criticising the open top bus parade

I've found that adopting the opposite stance to Piers Morgan is an attitude that always serves me well.

I wouldn't give his opinions any traction at all, he changes like the wind.

Possibly the most ironic post ever seen on DS.
