EE Final Bill - What should i expect?
My EE contract is nearly up and I will be transferring to Three using a PAC code from EE.
I will request the PAC code the day after the contract ends (as I have heard horror stories on people getting early termination charges if requesting before, even though they don't use it until after). Assuming it takes a few days to transfer over, and EE bills are paid in advance, what should I expect? Will i get a credit as I have only used a few days of the month? The EE website says (http://ee.co.uk/help/accounts-billin...ls-explained): "if you're within the last 30 days of your minimum term or outside of it, you'll need to pay a notice period charge. This is calculated based on 30 days' line rental from the date you contacted us to cancel your contract" Does this mean I will still be charged the full month? Is there a way to transfer and only pay for what I use? |

I'd recommend setting up your new Three account before PACing over. Make sure it works, and you're happy with signal, then do the port. Also, don't port on a Friday, try for a Monday.

I have used Three before, so i know it works, thats not a problem.
Doesn't the PAC only work for 30 days? So if i request my PAC 30 days before, isn't there a chance it will "time out" before using it? |

You have to give EE 30 days notice so if you request your PAC code 30 days before the contract is due to run out it will mean you are only paying EE for the duration of the contract and nothing more.
You can give your PAC code to 3 at any point during the 30 days. Once your number leaves EE, they will close the account and the final bill will charge you for line rental up until the day you leave with a further charge for however many days remained of your 30 days notice period when you left The later you leave setting up an account with 3 and giving them a PAC code the less you will be effectively paying for 2 services although I wouldn't leave it until the last day of your notice period in case something goes wrong and you then have to request a PAC from EE again which will reset the 30 days |

You could have requested your pac code when you were in to the last month of your contract. Your actual final payment of the contract was your previous bill, as you pay one month ahead.
Amazing how many people don't read the contracts they sign. |

Amazing how many people don't read the contracts they sign. Dave has explained what I need to do in a helpful way, which I am grateful for
