Missing and zero length recordings on Humax Foxsat HDR?
From time to time I get recordings on my Foxsat HDR fail, showing a duration of 0m in my media list. Does anyone know what can cause this?
Also, it has recently been randomly failing to record episodes of long-standing series links (e.g. Coronation St, Holby City), despite the fact that there were no recording conflicts at the times in question. Is there a log anywhere that can be used to track why a recording wasn't completed as scheduled? I'm running Custom Firmware v 4.1.2 |

Weird. My HDR1100s seems to have denied all knowledge of last week's Top Gear, BBC2HD, yet I know that it was in the schedule because I checked the previous evening.
Perhaps it's something to do with the BBC scrubbing scheduled programmes in order to cover the likes of Euro 2016 and Wimbledon. In the case of the missing Top Gear, this is the first time that the box has failed like this, without giving any clues as to why. Clem |

It's probably to do with all the schedule changes around the European Cup football. I've had this before where the schedule gets disrupted by sport. It's not usually a problem with overruns but where they have football/no football options it seems to screw up.
The cure, alas, is to kill off the recording out of the schedule & then re-store it after all the disruption. Then catch up on iPlayer/ITVHub, etc. Why the TV companies can't sort the programme ID stuff so it 'just works' I dunno. Perhaps they do and it's the Humax that can't cope with timeshifts or even channel shifts. |
