All I'll say is that it is a popularity contest basically so how you act in the show is important if you want to win. All of them are playing a game and trying to court favour and that is normal in these circumstances.

Jason to me showed arrogance in his reaction to being nominated and he demonstrated this via anger which are both usually 'no nos' in the game of BB.

I like that you are not just pidgeon-holing Jason and Charlie. I am not calling Jason a monster in any way, but many of Jason's supporters tend to just completely disregard that the man is a shifty, manipulative, fake altogether, assigning him no fault at all, which I just don't understand when the man is so blatantly - to me - a phony. As Jayne said, he isn't a bad guy. But he is not this saint either. This is the danger of branding someone a victim, because a lot of the time after that they can no longer be looked at objectively.

Perception politics are unfair, beause everybody is having different experiences in life, and people are at different levels of understanding when it comes to different things. Sometimes that qualifies some people to make assessments on the truth of a situation more than others. I'm not saying that those assessments can't be wrong sometimes, but I think it is important to understand that perception politics aren't a balanced thing, and that everyone is not on the same playing field.

I also think that Jason is complicit in some of Charlie's behavior. This is what I mean - people just looking at Charlie, not liking what they see and running with it. She is a nightmare girlfriend, but her dynamics with Jason plays a part in that. Yes, the insecure damage within her already exists, but it is - and I think sometimes intentionally - exacerbated and exploited by Jason, and I think he does it on the outside world with her too. He seems to be very aware of the dynamics around him, and I feel like he will manipulate things to gain the upper hand. Charlie even pointed out that when sometihng happens, he fishes for opinions to see if people are backing him or not, and in my opinion he does that so he can work out what move to make next. I don't think he is an evil genius or anything. But he is shifty as hell, and not to be trusted. I belive he may be angry at Charlie for the way she treated him, and I do think that he is passive-aggressive with her outside of the house, and that he has outburst of passive aggressiveness, because he is still hurt about how she treated him, which is understandable. But he goes above and beyon to mask all of that.”

Actually I'd agree with most of your assessment of Jason. He is complicit but imagine if he did what he probably should do and cut Charlie off with no soft edges, he would no doubt be crucified. He must be so aware of this and to be fair he would be judged badly whatever he did. He was put in a no win situation.
Although I don't agree with: 'the man is a shifty, manipulative, fake altogether...' I personally wouldn't feel comfortable summing up someone's character like that having never met them.

Yup I agree it was arrogant. I'm a fairly even minded person and I've often wondered how I would react at the ludicrousness of someone nominating ME!!

You like to think you'd be cool about it as you know that it's part of the show, but under the duress imposed by BB...I've often wondered.

Well heres my 'opinion'

I think that he chased her because he liked the chase as many people do. Once he caught her the chase was over and he lost interest.
By then she had fallen hook line and sinker and was infatuated by him and obviously unable to let go.

Very interesting thread this has become from an unpromising start.. lots of responses which I would like to reply/comment if I had the time/energy to apply myself.. but have just singled this out as addressing the key forum offender, talking as if you know things for definite. (Ofc others do address this all the time & thanks to those that do; this happens to be the instance I've come across today).
Just within this situation there is so much that can't be known to anyone but the parties involved. Choose to give either party more or less of the benefit of the doubt by all means, but to draw a conclusion where we have no facts.. just pointless.

It's about time Jason showed some real emotion.

The only time when he came remotely close to showing any emotion (on HLs) was when they brought his dog in!

His T-1000 Terminator act is tedious now & this episode show help with the slipping of his mask, hopefully.
