When Sky issued the News release concerning Sky Sports Mix on 18 March 2016, they tagged it on the Sky Corporate website as relating to "Sky Sports", "Corporate","SkyQ","Products","On Demand", "Sky Go", "Sky Broadband" &
"NOW TV".
You can scroll down to it, here, as "Now TV"- filtered news:

Thus, you can make a case, that whilst not specifically mentioning Now TV in the text of the News release, that Sky generated an impression that Sky Sports Mix was to be available on Now TV.
Sky Sports News HQ, which is mentioned in the Press Release, is available to active Cinema, Entertainment, Kids or Sports Month Pass subscribers on Now TV, and for 30 days when buying a Sky Sports Day or Week Pass. So, it's already established that all Now TV customers are offerred a bit of sport at no additional cost. I suspect a few would like a little more!
