Interesting to see if France are still favourites if this goes to pens.

I've seen worse tournaments than this. It's had it's moments.
Joachim Low says the tournament has had too many teams and thats why the quality has not been as good

And Iceland, and the volcano chant.

Which will be seen all over next season.
The two Irelands had their moments too....lots to be said for the expansion of the tournament

Actually true.

For me though, the "moments" I will most remember are of pretty dull matches, England playing as poorly as I can recall.

Positive one though is Wales, not a "good" team, but played together as a unit and really surprised me.
Portugal/Hungary. Italy/Spain. Croatia/Spain.

There have been decent games. It does seem to have gotten worse as it's gone on, I admit.

That doesn't make any sense. Once it came down to the last 16 and 8, the quality should have come through

To be fair to Iceland and NI they'd have been there in the 16 team format too.

Pogba reminds me of Carlton Palmer at times don't think he was worth 100 million

A fit Diaby would walk over this Portugal midfield.

Doesn't a Portugal game feature in that episode?
The solution is obvious. Ban Portugal from football, now.

What was the Bronze goal
What's a bronze goal?
What was the bronze goal?
The bronze goal dictates that the last goal scored in extra time of a match is the winner, irrespective of the final score. So if both teams score once in extra time and it finishes level whoever got the second goal wins the match.

A fit Diaby

You have got more chance of this game going to a penalty shootout

The irony of Pepe accusing someone else of gamesmanship.

Lloris makes the save!

One keeper having a good game and one a bit suspect. An omen for penalties?

Only part of the ball has to be within the arc according to the FIFA rules.
Isn't that the same as I said
