French players look shellshocked but they didn't give enough.

Crystal ball for sale, partly accurate.

Nice one Portugal. I don't remember a less impressive team winning an international tournament, but I don't give a damn about the hype train that was France!

Winning can win trophies. How that happens is of no concern to the winning team. You do what you can to win. If they could win playing pretty football then maybe they would but the important thing is they won.

So when Greece won it was it the format of the competition that meant their brand of boring football won the day??

I'm sure he should have pushed Pogba more forward , but even in ET he seemed to be staying deep

Poor Griezmann, could have won the Champions League final and Euro final on his own but ends up with nothing. Brutal.

I'd be more than happy if England could do a 'Greece' or a Portugal'.

Is there a player in the Portugal squad who plays for Leicester City

Messi's career doesn't revolve around what Ronaldo achieves. Messi will still be remembered by the majority as a better footballer.

Well, congratulations to the worst Portugal side in years. You finally won something thanks in no small part to your goalkeeper.

He sacrificed his game for the team , he spent all night in the holding role , running back tirelessly ... that all goes unnoticed as you've shown .

His talent was wasted to be honest , in that role .

Did Messi do anything in the WC 2014 final?

No because I'm not taking about one side. I'm not saying Portugal were the problem I'm saying the tournament as a whole was poor with very few goals and it was the format that played a huge part in that.

Respect for Portugal. I questioned the way they got here but, once here, they did a job on the French, after losing their star player after 20 minutes. If anything that setback made them stronger when they could have imploded.

France ran into a red wall and simply didn't have enough pace or imagination to break through, in front of their own fans. When they did, the woodwork or poor finishing denied them, and lets not forget - Portugal also hit the woodwork and had chances of their own too.

I think Portugal deserved it on the night. If they deserved to win the whole thing is another matter, but in the previous 4 weeks the rest of Europe couldn't break them down.

Despite their insistence on sticking with the 24 team format, surely UEFA will have to make some changes for 2020? A team who won one game in seven in 90 minutes, including finishing third without a single win in the group stage have won the tournament. There's going to be a lot of criticism coming thier way.

The Portugal team in Euro 2000 with Figo and Rui Costa were a much more fluid and talented team than this one, but won nothing. Just goes to show.

Feel gutted for France but they didn't do enough on the night. Can't believe Portugal have won though, they did hardly anything of note the whole tournament! Disappointing Euros

Pogba has been invisible a few times in this tournament. He's only had 1 or 2 good games.
