You do have chuckle that he went off on a stretcher when he could have walked off... He wants that iconic photo moment....

If you look at the advert boards, those moths are all over them...

Anyone know if those boards are attracting them?.

This final is poorer without him.
The match was billed probably across the world as France vs Ronaldo. Very disappointing.

Nice little cross from Cedric there, deserved better contact.

Haven't really seen them at any other night game though.

Think they mentioned before the game there was an infestation of Moths. Not sure why though.

The match will be poorer without Ronaldo. I'm not his biggest fan but it is a great shame to see it end like that for him

Have to say when I saw Ronaldo and Quaresma at the U21 tournament years ago, Ricardo looked 5 times the player of Ron. Funny the direction of both their careers.

Probably attracting them to that area of the pitch but clearly there's already an issue.

Bet this'll be dull now. Portugal to shut up shop.

I think it was deliberate.
I really don't agree . It was clumsy at worst . Payet isn't that type of player anyways .

Has Giroud always been as slow as he has been this tournament?.

Good on the ball, but seems to lack any pace....

BBC said earlier someone left the lights on at the stadium over night. Not sure if it was a joke or if that's what literally happened.

Those runs from Sissoko are starting to become very effective.

So very sad for Ronaldo, you want to see the best players playing in the finals.

Agreed.

Payet is no softie, but he clearly went for the ball.

How? Payet's foot made contact with the ball and only the ball. it was a clash of their other trailing legs.

Sounds like a joke, but could be true. If they were working on the stadium during the night and needed the lights on, I can see it attracting moths.

I have about 6,000 species of moths right now because of a couple of lightbulbs on.

Cissoko is having a great game , he was a tad unlucky then as Fonte put his elbow into his throat as he tried to burst pass him , no shout for a penalty though .
