Hate to see a player of such quality having to leave the field of play so early with an injury. Terrible blow for Portugal and the match is much poorer for Ronaldo leaving. Odds heavily stacked in France's favour now with Portugal's principal threat removed.

Fantastic save!

What a turn by Sissoko to set up the shot, the man is on fire.

Jesus, Sissoko has been shite all year and now he's looking like a world beater. Obviously putting himself in the shop window.

On the bright side, Portugal might actually score from a freekick now. I think the moths were attracted by the sun shining out of Ronaldo's a**e...

Being serious, though, some of the Portugal players may start to express themselves more now with him off the pitch. But France are a better side even before Ronaldo went off.

Portugal doing OK without Ronaldo but have no cutting edge.

Then again you could say the same about the hosts so far. Even more exception for France to win this now the opposition's star player is off the pitch.

I really don't agree . It was clumsy at worst . Payet isn't that type of player anyways .
Every pundit has used the "not that type of player" excuse
