I'm thinking some sort of mistaken identity? Paul may have had something of Ben's on him when it happened leading to the mix up and this is his exit

I think the use of the word incident is intriguing

Haven't they also said Paul's exit is massive and met to be something "never done before"!

If its a tragedy for The Mitchells then surely someone dies from that family?

I'm starting to wonder if this is becoming a standard soap line now for when a character leaves (alongside will cause shockwaves around the square/street etc) because CS have just said this about
Spoiler
and Im sure ED have used this line recently too

They would use the word accident if it was a car crash. The word incident suggests something else.

I really don't want Paul to die but I think it's likely he will. It's such a shame because I actually enjoy Paul with Ben - especially post Ben coming out again. Plus if Paul dies, Les & Pam not only lose their son, but their grandson also! And then Pam, Les and Ben would have to "tend to Paul" in the chapel of rest...

He uses nursery rhymes to trick the guards into letting him out of prison, then goes on a rampage in a digger, targeting Ben to enact revenge on both Phil and Kathy.

yeah thats what I was thinking.

question is is it to do with Paul and his mum or not.

Maybe Pam tries to Kill Paul, Ben defends him and Pam injured him instead

Reading the cast list, it's very clear that they're trying to throw people off the scent.

I can't help but feel that a Carter may cause the incident.

I foresee Pam deciding to switch off Paul's life support. There's potential here for some really heartbreaking scenes. We saw how well they handled Lucy's death.

Call me Mr. Hype but I'm excited.

I can definitely see Pam trying to cover up another one of her murders as euthanasia. Just look at poor Laurie, he only had a common cold and she decided it was best to end his suffering.
