Ste isn't Leah's biological father. It was some lad Amy met in the park.

Lucas is Steks though - there was never any doubt about him.

Wasn't Patrick Blake convinced the baby may be his sons child aka Mark "Dodger" Savage?

Dee Dee Hutchinson and Rose Lomax were swapped at birth by Mariam Andrews... does this count?

That was tthe baby before Minnie that Max aborted.

Yes, i know about the swap (hence me putting Rose in brackets) but the paternity of Diane's baby was still never in doubt.

Neither come to that was Tegan's - she always knew the father was Fraser Black although he didn't immediately believe her.

You'rE welcome.

It can be really hard to remember this stuff after a few years - especially as i think Amy did lie about it at one stage to try and get her parents to allow her to be with Ste.

I wan't a fan of the show during that period. I did watch the domestic abuse plot though.
How long ago was it now?

Wait a minute wasn't there an error where Frazer Black and Rose were concerned. She did a DNA test or something and the show forgot? Vague sentence I know.

You're absolutely right. There was a DNA test done on Rose to confirm paternity for Fraser which should have shown shouldn't have come up as a match but the show just forgot about that for the swap storyline about a year later.

The Barnes and Ste came in during 2006 i think (certainly Amy and Michaela McQueen were around then) so i'd say it was 9 or 10 years ago.

I can only think of Holly: Cindy knew Lee Stanley was the father

Having said that I did take a decade long break from HO and only started watching again last year so probably more recent examples

From memory, Michaela preceeded the rest of the family by several months, even as much as a year. Then Mercedes came in next during the summer of 06 and Jacqui, John Paul, Tina, carmel and Myra all arrived in the Autumn.

I just remember Russ being in bed with Mercedes at the time of the Dog in the Pond fire and I know that was Sept 06 as it happened to transmit on a day that sticks in my mind for personal reasons - which i won't go into here.

The Valentines had only just arrived then as well and the Ashworths were fairly new too. It was a big transition time for the show.

Ah shucks, this is doing wonders for my ego!

I'm far from infallible (i'd remembered something incorrectly about early EE the other day) but i do have quite a good memory. I'm just one of those people where anything they've seen remains to a certain extent without needing to 'study' it and as watching soaps has been a favourite past time since i was a child, so approx 35 years, i've seen a lot! I do also tends to associate with what i've watched on tv with other tv (like all the major soaps having babies born on xmas day 1998) with my own personal life (Peter and Lucy Beale being born on my best friends birthday for example), what music was in the charts, what was happening in the news (associative memory) which makes it fairly easy to pinpoint dates.

I think I may as her a few life questions...

KitKat what is the meaning of life?

I remember the Valentines first episode as Jake Dean killed the mother by running her over?

I don't remember the McQueens arrivals at all though.

You must have cried when Pete Beale died on the same days as the arrival of the twins lol

Has a baby ever been born that was planned by a couple in a happy stable relationship/marriage? Or indeed planned at all?

LMSO. I just caught sight of the thread title and roared with laughter. I have never watched Hollyoaks but I think that thread title really gives me a flavour of it. Thanks OP for brightening my afternoon.

Did she give a reason as to why she did that?

She was drunk (alcoholic) and it was a genuine mistake. She remembered however but chose not to say anything.

Ah, thanks. Though I don't really get how you can mistakenly switch babies, but then remember when you're sober.
