I have a Panasonic base answering machine home phone with four matching phones. The answering machine no longer records the messages. Is it possible to just replace the base phone/answering machine with a new unit and will it be compatible with the four existing phones.

It seems they come pre-paired (registered in Panasonic parlance)

But if you buy a new base unit you would need to re-pair every handset.
