Congratulations on Portugal on winning the Euros
They fully deserved there win. They may not have been the best team in the tournament, but they defended brilliantly in the knockout stages, and im glad France did not win

You've made the most posts in an 850+ post thread about the game, probably could have just made this another reply.

I was rooting for France, but them injuring Ronaldo (and the drama that followed) broke my heart and I was over the moon that Portugal won! I think France shocked themselves that they got rid of Ronaldo in the 8th minute and stopped playing after that.
Ronaldo still managed to steal the show of course. He and the manager should do a comedy sketch together They were the most exciting thing about this game

Shows what a good coach can do with mainly average/good players by organising them properly with a system that suits
Well done |

I still have not been able to process this. I've been on a stand still since yesterday
. I can't find words to describe how happy I am. I feel like this is a dream . First, I am so, so, so proud and happy for Cris . He deserves it so much. This is all he ever wanted. This meant the world to him. This meant EVERYTHING . Like I'm at the point that I wouldn't even care if he retires now because he did it. Did it all. He wanted to win this tournament so bad for all these years, came close every time. As a fan to have been there through it all, all these years, the triumphs and disappointments..witnessing all the unnecessary hate he gets; the mockery. ...the taunting from the Messi/Barca fans expecially ...this is such a sweet, sweet victory and I couldn't be happier ![]() ![]() Much love to Nani, Pepe and Quaresma. Glad that Pepe got Motm; he's so underrated sometimes. Love Sergio but imo pepe is a better defender ( yet Sergio gets praised slightly more ). It's just his personality that turn some people off that's all. Thank you to Eder and Rui Patricio as well. Rui made some crazy saves. Thank you also to the rest of the players. Also Thank you to Sir Alex for being there yesterday to personally congratulate Cris. This means so much to him. I love their relationship. Last but not least , I'm so happy for Portugal. Always supported this team. They've been so unlucky in the past imo. I've always appreciated and loved their team spirit. This is one of main reasons why Portugal and Germany are my favorite teams at these tournaments. You get the sense of a great camaraderie, solidarity between all the players. Obrigado Portugal. Viva Portugal. I'm so happy ![]()

When was Rui Patricio ever this good?! Not even talking about Eder and the others. I was expecting Pepe to play up again, but he was quietly brilliant last night. They played like they wanted it more than France. And Ron's dramatic return and touchline antics were hilarious (and sooo sweet). I don't think there was a happier man in the world yesterday |

While they were not pretty to watch, they deserved the win last night with what I thought was their best performance of the tournament.
It's also, always good when a Country wins it's first major trophy. I also finally warmed to Ronaldo, last night. Whatever I might have thought about him, as a pro he has worked hard and looked after himself. It was nice to see how much it meant to him and his team. |

The Most ; like all these years. .it's weird but maybe not weird but when you have been supporting someone like that since the beginning and through it all....I just can't explain....and to finally see the result .....Argghhhggghhhh ![]() Rui was so good. He still plays at Cristiano former club, sporting de Lisbon but I hope that an even bigger club takes interest in him. He's really good. Yes even injured on the sidelines Cris was still coaching and motivating the players ..funny, inspirational and lovely to see. Funny how after that they were tons of articles saying how he would make a great manager one day and I just had to roll my eyes. Cristiano has said many times that he doesn't want to become a coach or manager once he retires. He will expand and focus more on his brands instead

To be fair I don't know what would happen if England won the World Cup again. Everyone would be drunk for the next 50 years
