Day 7: At least 3 women admit to having a crush on Alex.

Day 14: Alex seems to treat women very respectively, and avoids the serious arguments among the men.

Day 21: After a few evictions, 1 or 2 of the women begin to make their feelings towards Alex known, either to the house, or to his face. He brushes it off...perhaps even looks uncomfortable with the advances?

Day 28: He is shown crying to his best male friend in the house (perhaps Jackson?)...that the reason he has been so uncomfortable is that is he is actually feeling that he might be gay? Jackson tells him that he loves him anyway, and he should just be himself.

Day 29: Alex comes out to the entire house...in tears. He hopes his parents and friends will 'forgive him' and 'understand him' and that he hopes this doesn't mean his work as a Men's Health Model dries up? Everyone hugs him. It's all great.

Final Day: His journey is voted worthy of being the winner and the prize money.

The next day: Everyone else wonders how they didn't spot it sooner???

In a spin the bottle game about 2 weeks ago, Alex was asked who he thought was the most beautiful housemate. He chose Jackson. Now, he might have meant beautiful on the inside, I don't know, but that is the only indicator I can recall which supports your theory and that is reaching, to put it lightly.

Most of it already has.

We're up to the part where he is about to come out as gay.

I don't get Alex's appeal. He's okay to look at but the man is a complete drip in all other senses. He's purely decorative and the dictionary definition of an 'under the radar' character.

I'm from Liverpool...where Alex obviously grew up.

He doesn't act like any other straight lad I know in the entire city. His awkwardness around women though (showing him affection) does mimic the actions of the typical 15 year old 'closeted' lad at school.

His closest female companion is Jayne...that's his fag hag. Even she said tonight, "There are at least 4 or 5 gay men in this house"...so whose the 5th? Jason???? LOL

He is seriously awkward around women...when they show him sexually advances...otherwise he's the perfect gentleman and seems completely relaxed.

Tonight, he was very awkward around Evelyn...completely relaxed in Andy's arms.

Tonight, Jackson (straight guy with a kid) hugged Hughie and kissed him, no questions asked. Immediately afterwards, Alex, asked "Have you showered? Oh, Ok then, I will hug you"....WTF? Is he OCD about showering or trying to prove he would only hug a guy under certain circumstances...unless they are Andy?

And last of all...let's admit...that fashion sense. Any woman would be proud as punch to have a guy on her arm who dressed so intuitively stylish. She should ask herself, "Who dresses like that in my life right now without me nagging them?" Answer? "Her gay best friend!"

There was a scene about a week or two ago where Alex and Emma(I think?) were in the garden. Emma was talking about chocolate digestives and Alex made a lame ass attempt at flirting by saying "Are you gonna eat me?" with the widest grin on his face. I will admit I died a little inside watching that.

I noticed it a few weeks ago ie his disinterest in the attractions women and his awkward social interaction, as if he doesn't know where he fits in..so he just opts out and sits smoking and occasionally muttering incoherently.

He is a very odd individual.

Him and Andy on the sofa cuddling up and having a gay convo about how he would/wouldn't approach Alex in a bar? If he was straight he would would have said something like 'hang on me old mate , I'm don't swing that way' But he was going along with it.
Also I know some Gay men find womens bodies repulsive. look how Christopher was nearly sick when he had to give Gemma a fake tan (ok I know,)
I do know that is true of some gay men, so when Evelyn sits astride him with no underwear on it probably made him feel a bit sick.

I spoke on the phone with my sister last night and she proposed the idea that Alex might be gay and that that is the vibe she is getting from him. I come on here and now see this. Hmmm. Gotta watch it for myself. having been around a mass of closet gay guys in the past, I have a sense for these things, that is usually right.
